It is Brandon Moss going to Pittsburgh, not Damien Moss.

      Manny, Hansen AND Moss? WTF?

Manny for Bay straight up makes them weaker for this year, imo. And then to thrw in the other two prospects and $7 mil?

      I am missing something.....

OK ... The Red Sox CLEARLY wanted 1 thing and that was simply to dump Ramirez. They gave up a TON in this trade and the team getting the best player (Manny), didn't give up shit!

Boston gives up Brandon Moss, Manny Ramirez, Craig Hanson AND 7 million to pay the rest of Manny's contract. Boston gets Jason Bay.

Pittsburgh gives up one guy. Jason Bay. They get Brandon Moss, Craig Hanson, Andy Laroche and Bryan Morris.

The Dodgers get Manny Ramirez and they give up Andy Laroche and Bryan Morris.

            WTF Red Sox?!?!?!?!

They got raped and they were fine with that? ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Bay only costs $7 million next year, and Manny was gonna walk, it's a steal for the RedSox.

I'm even fine with the players but to add an additional 7 million is absolutely ABSURD!!!!!!!

Not when you are also giving Hanson, Moss and 7 million.

Manny also didn't have the option of walking.

Bay had a down year in 2007, but was fabulous in 2005, 2006, and is back on track this year. He won't blow you away w/ average, but he will hit .285 with 30-35 HR power, and hte ability to steal 10 bases as well.

I'm curious to see where they fit Bay into the lineup. As a fantasy owner of his, I'm hoping they plug him in the 3-hole, and move Ortiz back to the traditional clean-up role. Drew can hit 5, Youk 6th.

Exactly ... turn on the T.V.

Even they are all saying Boston got raped!

Jesus BW, you are the 1st one here to love the prospects in every deal and suddenly those prospects mean nothing. Boston gave up a TON for Jason Bay and his contract may be 7.5 million next year but you may as well call it 14.5 million when you add in the 7 million it cost Boston today to get him.

Papi stays 3rd, Lowell and Youk move up and Bay hits 6th.
