The Guy could have easily Won the WS MVP award before he was ever eligible for the Rookie of the Year award. Name another player who has done that. The kid is amazing and hit over .350 in the post season i think. His HR's will come and if he isn't a 4 1/2 tool player, i don't think i know who is.
Originally posted by BigWeiner View PostI know he hit .350 in the playoffs, but if you look at his minor league numbers they don't translate, so I see him as .300 with some speed and no power. I just don't see how he's untouchable when talking about Johan.

Look at the Fantasy Baseball Leagues and see who has the most points in ALL of fantasy baseball. Yup, it's Jacoby Ellsbury BW. More than Cabrera, Pujols, Gonzalez, Cano, Verlander and anybody else you can think of.
He has 569 and 2nd is Braun with 543. I think it is a pretty good gauge too when it includes singles, doubles, triples, HR's, Runs Scored, SB's, caught stealing and errors.
Where is Santana kb?

If Boston makes the Playoffs, I think Ellsbury should be the MVP!!!
A.L. Ranks entering today ......
Avg. .319 (5th)
HR 28 (8th)
Hits 199 (2nd)
RBI 98 (8th)
Runs scored 114 (2nd)
SB's 37 (4th)
OBP % .376 (9th)
Slugging % .543 (6th)
OPS .918 (6th)
I think the other guy would be Granderson but i don't like giving it to a guy hitting .268 and he has 161 K's to Ellsbury's 92
Ellsbury also has ZERO errors in the OF this season and Granderson has 3
No doubt my homerism plays in to it and Granderson is ahead of Ellsbury in some stats but he is also well out of the Top 10 in others too!

Originally posted by BigWeiner View PostI disagree, he was dominating again last year. Basically the same amount of innings pitched and strikeouts, just gave up a few more runs. He got little run support. His last 4 years were ridiculous and he's only 28. I realize he's no Jake Ellsbury, who has potential to steal 30 bases, but he's pretty damn good.
