  • Minimums on penny stocks

Someone told me that there is normally a $10000 minimum on buying penny stocks. Just wanted to ask how true that statement is?

        The statement is absurd.
I have invested in many penny stocks over the years and in a few cases invested even under $100 at one time.
The most important thing is to be sured that you don't get ripped off in commissions.
I currently pay $7.95 for a commission for any stock of any value, and it has nothing to do with how much I invest, how many shares I buyt and whether it is a penny stock or not
If you mean that the total value of your account aside from penny stocks has to be at least $10K, well then that may be different depending on the brokerage house.
