C.A.R. reports sales decrease 28.5 percent, median home price falls 26.2 percent in February

Check out how much some of those homes in California are selling for now compared to what they sold for just a short time ago. The price drops look to be at 50% tops.

Now is the time to buy a car.You can go in and teel them pretty much what to do because they need sales so bad.We went to a dealership a couple of months ago and test drove the Suzuki XL7.We liked all the saftey features and they let us keep it for like 4 days.We ended up getting a BMW X3 which is there version of an SUV and got everything we wanted.Extended warranty,my wife didn't like the floor mats so the went and got a newer pair.She also said it didn't shine like she wanted it to so the took it in on a Sat and detailed it and removed almost all the little scratches you see on a 4 year old car.It only had 45,000 miles so I feel like we got a good deal.It's not the bullshit you usually have to put up with when you deal with those salesman.

As for cars especially trucks/suvs they aren't selling. I see them sitting on the lots. A ford dealership here still has brand new 2007 F150 extended cabs on their lot. If you try dealing with them over the internet they don't want to budge a lot. Going in and knowing their exact cost is the best way, however they do get perks for selling a car more quickly. They get dealer rebates/incentives back plus the automaker gives them a much bigger supply of cars vs. another place not moving cars more quickly.

Basically a dealership can sell you a car/truck for $500 above cost and even at cost.
