If you feel pretty good about it go with $3,000 worth. That way if it busts you can always do it as a tax write off.Originally posted by uconnplayerthey are only in CT, they are opening 3 more branches in westchester NY. You're getting it at an insider price right? Or a price that only people that have accounts at the brokerage firm that is doing the underwriting for the IPO? If so usually that is a good thing.Originally posted by uconnplayeryes true, we'll see. Many of my friends say they see it as long term, others short term, who knows, any other info please pass it along.

Here's some info: As of 9/6/2006 People's had 156 branches in CT (73 of them are located in Super Stop&Shop). They are going to open at least 15 new branches in Westchester County,NY in the next 3 years. People's had total assets of 10.6 billion, they are offering up to 185,437,500 shares.Originally posted by BettorsChatHave any more details? Like how many shares they are issuing? If they are making money? If so how much money?
I bought some stocks and I expect them to do well. I'm not a stock expert, but I wouldn't be suprised to see a nice increase sooner than later.
