    MLB Pittsburgh vs. Houston
    Take Houston Astros

Houston is rolling while the Pirates are reeling. The Astros have won six of their last seven games and they are 9-3 at home on the season. They have been dominant in this series, winning 10 of the last 13 meetings including five straight dating back to last season. Of those 10 wins, only three were by a single run as the average margin of victory has been 3.9 runs per game. Pittsburgh has now dropped three straight and the Pirates are off to a horrible 5-14 start. The offense has been stagnant as they have scored two runs in their last three games combined and have scored three or fewer runs in six of their last seven games. Roy Oswalt has been throwing very well to start the season, as he is 3-0 with a 2.76 ERA in his first four starts. He has begun the year right where he left off last year, as the Astros are 12-3 in his last 15 starts dating back to last season. Houston is putting up a ton of runs for Oswalt as it has averaged 9.7 rpg over his last three starts. He is one of the best home starters in all of baseball as he is 47-14 with a career ERA of 2.67 and a career WHIP of 1.05. In 15 career starts against the Pirates, Oswalt has a 3.10 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. Paul Maholm has been shaky this season, allowing five runs in two of his three starts and he is coming off a career high pitch count against the Cardinals. He was very solid in his limited action last year but he has a 6.11 ERA in 2006 and the Astros are hitting lefties well on the season and should have no problem giving Oswalt a good number of runs once again.
