Da Bulls finished the regular season at an Even Stephen 41-41 Straight Up out of the Central Division, earning them the seventh-seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. Under Head Coach Scott Skiles, they stand at 42-40 Against The Spread this year. The Bulls are currently on 6-0 and 12-2 SU winning runs, and they covered 11 out of their last 14 regular season events ATS. They have also covered four out of the last five games ATS in this Series, and this game might just be closer than expected. Other positive trends for the Bulls tonight include 24-17 ATS on the Road, and 11-8 ATS with two days of rest.
The Heat under long-tenured NBA Head Coach Pat Riley won the Southeast Division with a 52-30 SU record, giving them the second-seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. They show a 36-45-1 ATS record on the regular season. The Heat are well-rested and ready for the Playoffs, with the deadly tandem of C O'Neal and G Wade prepared for the League's "Second Season". They do however show poor cover trends in almost all categories for this event, including 16-24 ATS at Home.

The Marlins of the National League East under Manager Joe Girardi are 2-6 with a win yesterday over the Padres. They have failed in run production, and some of their pitching has been poor. Dontrelle Willis gets the nod for the Marlins tonight. The Left-hander has a 1.38 ERA but no decisions as he has received little offensive support despite pitching well in his first two starts. He has limited opponents to two runs and eight hits over 13 innings, but the Marlins have scored only two runs in those games, losing each by one run. Willis enjoyed success against the Nationals last season, going 3-1 with a 3.24 ERA in four starts and is 8-3 with a 3.02 ERA in 11 starts against the Nationals/Expos franchise. The Marlins look to turn things around with their young ace on the mound this evening.
The Nationals under Hall of Fame Manager Frank Robinson are 2-8 as they enter this Division match up. They have been shuffling the line-up to shake things up. The Nationals send Ryan Drese out to stop the bleeding tonight. He is 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA this season. The Right-hander struggled with his control Sunday at Houston, walking four and allowing four runs (one earned) and five hits in four innings of an 7-3 defeat to the Astros.*

The Rockies are tied for the lead in the National League West at 3-2 under Manager Clint Hurdle. Their Offense has come alive versus a team known for good pitching. The Rockies send Jason Jennings to the mound today. The 27-year-old Right-hander has never lost at Petco Park, going 2-0 with a 3.58 ERA in four starts. He pitched well in his first start in the season opener, giving up one run and six hits over seven innings in a 3-2, 11-inning victory over Arizona on Monday. The Rockies look to keep it going with another strong game today.
The Padres under Manager Bruce Bochy enter this Division match up at 1-3 to start the year. Their pitching has failed them the past two games versus the Rockies, and they look to change that this afternoon. Padres ace Jake Peavy will try to halt the losing streak as he enters 4-2 with a 3.31 ERA in eight career starts against Colorado. Peavy faced the Rockies twice last season and went 1-0 with a 3.68 ERA. He seeks a similar result to his outing on opening day. He went seven innings and allowed one run and four hits over seven innings in a 6-1 victory over San Francisco on Monday. The 24-year-old Right-hander will likely be caught by Mike Piazza, who received a scheduled day off on Saturday. Piazza is hitting .182 (2-for-11) through his first three games.
