The Brewers send out relatively inexperienced Tomo Ohka (RHP), who is 0-1 with a 4.09 ERA versus crafty 13 year veteran Steve Trachsel who is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA and a superb .67 WHIP. Ohka was really roughed up by the Cards in his last outing, going only 4 innings, while walking 5 and striking out 4. Milwaukee almost lost Ohka, as he signed al last minute deal to avoid arbitration, and pitched well against the lowly last place Pittsburgh Pirates, (but who hasn't when they have a 1-7 record), at the time of this writing.
