LOS ANGELES DODGERS @ PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES
SAT 3:05 PM EST
The season is young, but this is a game RED ZONE SPORTS really likes
early on. Two pitchers, each trying to find their nitch with their clubs.
Jae Seo for the Dodgers was traded here by the Mets because he wanted to
become a starter and they had no plans for that. He came over in a
non-descript trade with four pitchers only major league scouts have heard
of. Ryan Madson on the other hand is projected to have a very bright
future. The real question is whether he is a starter, set-up reliever or
many believe he is truly best as a closer.
In Seo's only outing he pitched two shutout innings in relief, but
tired in the third and gave up three hits and three runs. It should be
noted that he was almost traded by the Mets to a South Korean team, the
country of his heritage, before the Dodgers showed some interest. That
tells me that the Mets weren't thinking too highly of him. RED ZONE SPORTS
doesn't see Seo getting past the fourth inning, and the Phillies have been
definitely a better home than a road show. Take the boys from the city of
brotherly love to win Saturday at home, and Madson to pitch a solid six
innings.
