This Atlantic Ten clash has one team (Dayton) trying to get its head above .500 overall and the other (LaSalle) working on a 20 win season, and a better seed for the A-10 tourney. The Explorers are the surprise of the conference at this point in time, and presently are on a six game win streak after Wednesday's victory over St. Bonaventure. Lightning quick point guard, 5-8 Tabby Cunningham will return from an ankle injury and that spells trouble for the Flyers who are near the top in turnovers per game in the conference.
Dayton season can only be termed a disappointment after returning 4 starters from last year's 18-11 squad that played in the NIT. Everything went south when they lost they outstanding freshman point guard at the end of the summer when he decided to transfer to Illinois. They are weak in the backcourt and have lost three of the last four. More importantly they are 1-9 away SU and 3-7 ATS. LaSalle on the other hand is 10-3 at home ATS and have covered in 7 of the last 10 outings. The Explorers are led by last year's A-10 co-player of the year, and probable NBA draftee Steve Smith, who is almost averaging a double double each night. Don't let the line scare you, and stick with RED ZONE SPORTS and take the Explorers to cover and win.
