The Broncos advanced to the AFC Championship by defeating the World Champion Patriots at Home, 27-13 Straight Up as Field Goal Favorites under long-tenured NFL Head Coach Mike Shanahan. They have taken on all comers, and should be well-prepared for this Title Game at Home today. Positive trends include 12-3 ATS as Home Favorites in this point range, and 8-2 ATS after two or more SU wins in a row. This just might be the year of the Broncos after a long wait.
The Steelers under their long-tenured Head Coach Bill Cowher have done no wrong in their past six straight games, and have earned the right to compete here for the right to advance to the Big Dance. They shocked the world with an outright win at the Colts, but their brand of smash-mouth Football out of the North Division was a good counter to the Colts. The Steelers have been terrific under Quarterback Roethlisberger, have a balanced Offense and powerful Defense, and must be respected.
