    2 Units on Detroit Pistons U 182 -110
The Detroit Pistons hope two days off was enough time for Chauncey Billups to get healthy and coach Rick Carlisle to make adjustments. Both could be critical as they head into Game 5, looking to regain the advantage in their Eastern Conference semifinal series against Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers. The series returns to Detroit tied at two games apiece after the 76ers won both games in Philadelphia, where Billups was a non-factor and the Pistons could not stop Iverson from controlling the action. Billups, Detroit's leading scorer in the first round with 22.6 points per game, sat out Games 2 and 3 of this series after spraining his ankle in the opener. The veteran point guard came back for Game 4 -- possibly a bit sooner than he should have -- and was ineffective, finishing with just three points on 1-of-6 shooting in 23 minutes. Carlisle could use more offense from Billups because no one else stepped up Sunday to help Richard Hamilton, who had 30 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Hamilton's teammates, none of whom scored more than 11 points, hit below 33 percent from the field (19-for-58). ``Defensively, they have been more aggressive than they have been,'' Pistons guard Chucky Atkins said. ``We have to turn that around. I think we can turn that around by being a lot more aggressive offensively on Allen and some other guys as well.

Then new manager Bob Melvin found Winn's comfort zone -- the seventh spot in the lineup. Winn will look to continue his turnaround when the Mariners play the middle game of their series against the Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field. Winn drove in three runs and Ichiro Suzuki had four hits as the Mariners belted out a season-high 17 hits in an 8-3 win in the series opener on Tuesday. After the Mariners agreed to let Piniella leave his contract early to manage the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the teams agreed on Winn, a career .279 hitter, as compensation. Winn enjoyed a career year last season, hitting .298 with 39 doubles, nine triples, 14 homers and 75 RBIs. However, Winn got off to a lackluster start with the Mariners, batting .245 with three RBIs and just six extra-base hits over the first 26 games. Then Melvin dropped Winn from the second spot in the order to seventh. He has since flourished. Winn had a two-run triple and an RBI single Tuesday as Seattle won for the seventh time in its last 10. He is batting .419 (13-for-31) with eight RBIs and seven runs in the eight games he has batted seventh.
