    4 Units on Detroit Pistons -1½ -110
Detroit lost its playoff opener here to Orlando on April 20. The Pistons recovered to win the final three home games of that series and the first two of this one, a trend they hope will continue since they own home-court advantage throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs. Pistons guard Chauncey Billups expects to start for Detroit after a miserable showing in the 95-82 loss in Game Four on Sunday that left the series tied at two games apiece. Billups returned from his left ankle sprain after missing a pair of games, made 1-of-6 shots for three points and looked shaky as he lacked mobility on defense. The 76ers have injury problems of their own since reserve forward Tyrone Hill has been lost for the series. Hill has a torn right calf muscle and is out for three to four weeks. Starters Eric Snow, Derrick Coleman and Kenny Thomas will all be game-time decisions. Snow has tendinitis in his right foot and also has a contusion on his left hand. Coleman, a Michigan native, has a swollen left hand and Thomas has a heel bruise and a right quadriceps strain and contusion. However, the starter that has bothered Detroit the most has been four-time All-Star Allen Iverson, who is averaging 29.8 points and 9.3 assists in the series. Iverson's playoff averages are 32.8 points and 7.1 assists. Iverson has 11 assists in each of the last two games, becoming the first Sixer to notch consecutive double-figure assist totals in the postseason since Johnny Dawkins in 1990. Richard Hamilton is averaging 25.5 points this series, but Detroit needs rookies Tayshaun Prince and Mehmet Okur to revert to their earlier form. Prince and Okur combined for just 35 points in the two losses after scoring 46 in the first two games. Philadelphia is just 2-3 on the road in the playoffs this year and has won just five of its last 16 road playoff games.

    1 Unit on Boston Red Sox -165 (Benoit - R, Fossum - L)
Heading into the middle game of their series, the Red Sox have won 10 of the last 12 meetings in the series at Fenway Park, including Tuesday's 5-4 triumph. Boston overcame a 4-2 seventh-inning deficit and won in its last at-bat for the eighth time this season. ``Nobody ever puts their head down,'' said Red Sox shortstop Nomar Garciaparra, who extended his hitting streak to 14 games and had the game-winning RBI. ``Even when we're down by a lot, you never know.'' Manny Ramirez and Trot Nixon each homered as the Red Sox won for the fourth time in their last six overall. The Rangers upped their major league-leading home run total to 66, but lost for the eighth time in their last 11. Rafael Palmeiro, who on Sunday became the 19th player to join the 500-homer club, went 0-for-3 with a walk.

    2 Units on Colorado Rockies U 13 +100 (Seo - R, Oliver- L)
Wilson had three RBIs, including a two-run homer, as Colorado rallied from a seven-run deficit to beat New York 9-8 Tuesday night. The right-handed slugger -- the Mets' first round pick in 1993 -- has simply punished the team that traded him and two minor leaguers to Florida for Mike Piazza in July 1998. Since then, Wilson -- who went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in the series opener, is hitting .293 (67-for-229) with 20 homers and 49 RBIs against the Mets. Though he has hit for a higher average against several clubs, his power numbers against New York are his most against any opponent. Wilson's success this season hasn't only been against the Mets. He has Colorado's last six home runs, tying Andres Galarraga's club record for consecutive homers by one player. Wilson is the only Colorado player with a home run since April 29, spanning 13 games. Piazza had two home runs and three RBIs in Tuesday's loss, which also featured Ty Wigginton's second straight game in which he had a three-run triple. However, veterans Tom Glavine and David Weathers, and a trio of rookie relievers Pat Strange, Jason Middlebrook and Jamie Cerda, squandered New York's biggest lead of the season, and snapped the Mets' three-game losing streak.
