The Redskins are now -13 in turnover differential, tied with the inept Saints for league’s worst turnover margin. Despite a perceived strength on defense, Washington still allows 5.0 yards per play and has a league-low eight takeaways. Those kinds of mistakes and failure to create turnovers will be a problem versus the explosive Chargers. Washington has lost to each AFC West team this year, and will have to go to the air with Mark Brunell to keep pace with the Chargers.
Expect Washington to open up the offense more, with Santana Moss having a big day versus a San Diego pass defense that allows 237 passing ypg and more than 60 percent completions.
