    Today's Free Pick:

Game: Rutgers vs. Cincinnati 1:00 p.m. ET

Sport: NCAA - National Collegiate Athletic Association

    Line: Rutgers -13.5 -110

    Prediction: Rutgers -13.5 -110

    Explanation: 2 Units

These teams are at opposite ends of the spectrum here as Rutgers comes off a bye week regrouped for its season home finale. The Bearcats, meanwhile, enter this game as a tired and beaten traveler. Cincinnati fell to 4-6 straight up last weekend and all of their losses have been by 15 points or more. Here, they'll face a diverse offense that can run and pass very well. To add to the Bearcats’ struggles, they'll be without the services of their second leading tackler in line-backer Corey Smith. His absence leaves the Bearcats vulnerable to Rutgers’ hard-nosed ground attack with running backs Brian Leonardand Ray Rice. Last week, the Bearcats were able to stack the box against South Florida's running game and the Bulls star running back Andre Hall. But, Cincinnati still allowed 222 rushing yards, enabling the Bulls to control the clock and build a 31-7 fourth-quarter lead.

Rutgers will strike much quicker, as they possess a big-play passing game to go with their rushing attack. Meanwhile, the Bearcats offense has been marred by 24 turnovers and 31 sacks allowed in their 10 games. Both are weaknesses that Rutgers will successfully exploit. The Scarlet Knights’ pass rush has been tremendous, recording 37 sacks, and they've also gotten 23 takeaways. We have to feel the week off gave Rutgers and head coach Greg Schiano the time necessary to become grounded and hungry again after being beaten by South Florida and then stomped by Louisville in the Scarlet Knights’ two previous games. Brazen attitude was displayed by Rutgers jumping on Louisville's logo a few weeks ago. That was a hard lesson learned and expect them to come out more mature and focused in front of the home crowd here. This game shapes up as meaningful to Rutgers as it looks to get back on track heading into their bowl game. This match up is meaningless for the Bearcats, who just want the season to end.

    Play Rutgers -13.5

Predicted Final: Rutgers 34 Cincinnati 17
