Minnesota -1 1/2 against Detroit.
There are two situations that make us really like this game. The first is that Brad Johnson will be starting in place of the injured Daunte Culpepper. Not that Culpepper is a bad QB, but the aged veteran will calm down the much maligned Vikes offense and get them going here, He looked sharp last week when he came in, and we are expecting to see the like of Travis Taylor and Marcus Robinson on the stat sheet more than with Culpepper. The second is that Joey Harrington is starting. Garcia finished the game against the Bears, but he is a no go in this one. Harrington is not a good starter in this league, especially on the road, where the Lions are already 1-2 ATS this season. Minnesota is 11-2 straight up at home in this series and all they basically have to do here is win straight up.
NY Knicks -4 against Golden St.
Larry Brown cannot possibly start his career in the Big Apple at 0-3. The Knicks are 25-17 ATS coming off of a loss by 10 points or more, 21-17 ATS when scoring 85 points or less, 44-40 ATS at home, 19-12 ATS in the month of November, and 37-25 ATS in the first half of the season. The Warriors are never a good road team, though they finished last season pretty strong ATS. Golden St is 5-9 ATS coming off of a loss as a favorite, 39-41 ATS on the road, and 14-15 ATS in November.
