After Edmonton's hot start- they seemed to have hit a road block. In winning their first three games, the Oilers scored 12 goals- but since then, in the midst of a three game skid- they have only mustered up three goals. We LOVE the Oilers to get back on track tonight against the Coyotes, who, under first year coach, Wayne Gretzky, got their first road win of the year in a 2-0 defensive battle versus Calgary. Look for tired Coyote skaters to fall behind the crafty Edmonton lines. We expect a wild crowd, for the fact that they are retiring an Oiler legend, Paul Coffey's #7 jersey tonight- expect the crowd to be out in full force, and force the young Coyotes to make mistakes. Perfect situation for the Oilers to get back on track- they have won the last five in the series, with the OVER also going 8-1-1 in the past 10 matchups! Play the trends, and this should be an easy winner.

Florida has to be feeling fatigued at all levels of this game. They are playing their third game in four nights, and are coming off a 4-0 loss to the Rangers- but if you watched the game- you know that it should have been much worse. Florida was embarassed- and outshot 49-23. While always on the defense, Florida's skaters were playing catch up, and you will see the effects of this tonight against the Devils. This is a great rebound game for the Devils, and especially Marty Brodeur, who seemingly is not content with the NHL's new rules. Brodeur is coming off a 6-1 thrashing by the Carolina Hurricanes- where he was pulled after the second period- giving up five goals on 19 shots! No better team to be coming into town than the Panthers- who own the second worst offense in the Eastern Conference. It also is good to know that Brodeur is 24-8-7 with a 1.96 GAA in 39 career games against Florida. Roberto Luongo, an absolute STUD for the Panthers will let his fatigue show. While only playing two periods last night- he faced 39 shots and surrendered four goals, and has not looked the same since his red hot start to the season with two straight shutouts. Its also safe to know that Luongo is 3-10-0 with a 3.17 GAA in 13 career starts against the Devils. We like the Devils to get back on track, and knock the Panthers out of their first place tie- and back down to earth!
