The Rebels of the Mountain West Conference finished last season at 2-9 Straight Up, and 3-8 Against The Spread. They spit the bit when Head Coach John Robinson announced his retirement in October. The Jets sport a strong Defense, the key to winning Championships in all of the major sports, and figure to play well this evening. Positive trends include 11-1 ATS in the Pre-Season off of back-to-back SU wins. This game might be closer than expected between out of Conference rivals.

The Vikings of the NFC North under fourth year Head Coach Mike Tice made it back to the Playoffs last season, while holding an Even Stephen 8-8 Straight Up and 7-9 Against The Spread record during the regular season. They finished the regular season at 10-6 SU, and 11-5 ATS, no small feat in the League of Mediocrity. Coach Edwards game plan is predicated upon Defense, and that wins Championships in all the major sports. This game even though only an exhibition, can be lower scoring than expected.

The Astros under Manager Phil Garner trail the Cardinals in the National League Central Division by 9.5 games, and have placed themselves into the Wild Card race by winning 10 out of their last 11 events. The right-hander will start in place of Brandon Backe, who will be placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday with a pulled muscle in his rib cage. The Mets under Manager Willie Randolph are 52-49 on the season, and trail the Braves by five games out of the National League East Division. The Astros under Manager Phil Garner trail the Cardinals in the National League Central Division by 9.5 games, and have placed themselves into the Wild Card race by winning 10 out of their last 11 events. The Mets under Manager Willie Randolph are 52-49 on the season, and trail the Braves by five games out of the National League East Division.
