Chung-all right!!! A post NOT started by me about Phil Stoole to which I can respond.
Ok-first of all I agree with you that Phil and other sports services which give out big losing plays and refer people to sportsbooks are well compensated in some manner by the latter.
You mentioned Millenium-don't forget Royal also which has deluged me the last few years with all kinds of free service from N.Coast if I sign up with them; Hmm-I wonder why. Well not really-its a case if you "scratch my back and I will scratch yours."
Although I don't know if Phil deliberately tries to lose his big plays(and lets not forget that last weekend Phil was undefeated on his phone plays and Power Swe ep), I am sure if big games go down like yesterday and today, there is kickback big time for him and even more so if HE refers LOSING customers to the sportsbook.
To change the subject slightly, I am not really surprised that he lost bigtime this weekend especially after last week's fluke.
I am sure Phil was really happy last week when he swept the board on both days last week,because it stoked his ego and gave him the feeling that the games won because of his meaningless and overhyped and mostly useless stats in Power Swe ep;yeah he was probably hoping that his buddy sportsbook didn't get burned too bad.
This week, the sting of seeing that his stats and trends aren't really that good (2 big touted 5 stars lost-yeah they could have won but did not, the point being that if his fu-king stats and trends are so good, then the games should be blowouts, which they were not) was probably taken away from the nice compensation from (you know where).
As Chung said, how can you brag about waiting until the 9th week of football(ie being REAL selective), and give out a game which shouldn't be rated any higher than a 1* and the losing 5* for his NFL game of the month.
In short, the way I see it, if Phil gets lucky and his mostly irrelevant trends, stats and angles for the last 100 years produce some winners in a given week, he is in seventh heaven;if he loses like yesterday and today(the reality of his mediocrity over time sets in), he wins big in another way if you can read between the lines.

Chung-Well said-it was no mere coincidence that in the mailings I received from Royal Sportsbook that they put more emphasis on receiving all kind of goodies from N. Coast than how good and reliable they were(Royal);that in itself put out the red flag for me.

I almost get the feeling sometimes that the offshores have some say/input as to what the North Coas t 5* will actually be;I guess you can read a lot into that.
At the very least I wouldn't be surprised if Phil releases it to them long before Saturday when he releases it to his customers.

Just to add a little more to this and to show how Phil looks on the bright side of things, this is how his comp. sermon was today.
He acknowledged that his 5* went down yesterday on St. Louis.
However he spent a lot more time mentioning that his Marquis plays won yesterday and pushing his Monday nightplays(the latter have been awful the last few weeks).
Of course he spent a lot of time bragging about his Power Swe ep Newsletter and the success it has had this year.
By so doing Phil tries to keep the mantra going that his overall service is really good;however stats over the past few years show that overall when everything is taken into account, his service is mediocre at best, and much worse than that if you consider the 5*s.
I think that in addition to trying to convince the public that NCoast is really good with his long rants, he is also trying to reassure himself that most of the useless garbage such as recaps of games played between two teams a decade ago really do have an impact on THIS season's game.
What I found particularly amusing is today Phil was actually pushing NEXT year's Power Swe ep Newsletter at a reduced rate.
I really wonder how many people are thinking about NEXT season when this season has just started;it just shows you how out of touch with reality he is!
Perhaps he shouldn't stop there;maybe he should offer a Power Swe ep subscription up until the year 2100 at a greatly reduced rate;he could say something like "If you subscribe today for the next 95 years at $79 a year a toal of only $7505, you will be locking in the yearly rate for not only yourself but for your generations to come and protect yourself against such things as inflation."(perhaps he should try to make a similar offer to his buddy sportsbooks to lock in the kickbacks/compensation).

ps I have said in the past the Phil would make a great used car salesman because of the way he presents things.
I would add that he would also make a great salesman at ToysRUS selling tops;who better than he to talk about and sell something which spins?
