Bad beat last night with Air Force coming back late vs. Utah. Will look to bounce back today with Iowa State. Look for Iowa State to go to the air Friday night vs. Army. The Scarlet Knights have been weak against the pass allowing 8.5 PYA with teams completing 72.4% of their throws. Iowa State is throwing for 7.2 PYA and completing 67.7% of their passes so this is a match-up I like favoring Iowa State. ARMY is 1-9 ATS (-8.9 Units) in non-conference games over the last 3 seasons. The average score was ARMY 13.4, OPPONENT 38.5. Army will not be able to run the ball vs. Iowa State and the Cyclones are also very tough against the pass as Iowa found out. This is a let down situation for Iowa State but they have had some extra time to recover off the upset of Iowa and they will not want to let down in this spot. New Mexico State can't run the ball and cant stop the run. In three games New Mexico State has ran for 81 yards. They will be putting the ball in the air tonight. In Cal's last two games they have run for 580 yards and New Mexico State is allowing 4.8 YPR. New Mexico State will throw the ball enough to get points on the board but they simply will not stop the Cal offense. Star Cal running back Marshawn Lynch may be back in the lineup for California on Friday after breaking a finger, but even if he is not I don't expect the Cal offense to slow down much. The Cal defense has also been weak against the pass allowing 529 yards their last two games. Both offenses strength match up well with the defenses weakness. Play Over 57 as Fridays 5* Top Total to win 1.75 Units.
