    NFL Game of Year Status Yardage Plays

    Check this out. Been toying around with my Yardage Formula and found a stricter version of it to be pretty awesome. It's so much easier to do this kind of research with my Excel Program once it is written.

    The old version put out anywhere from 60-85 plays and hit around 60% over 4 years.

    But it was inconsistent going 48-19 ATS in 2001, 38-23 ATS in 2002, and then slightly above 50% the last 2 seasons.

    By demanding a stricter criteria it churned out only a handful of plays but really skimmed the cream of the crop off the top.

    The neat thing is that I do not have to sub-divide various categories to get the strong results, which says a lot more about the criteria itself. I'm still working on 2003, but here's last year's Game of Year Status Picks...

    So Dave, are these games from your original spreadsheet games that you played and you only tightened them up for the perfect record or are some of these games coming out brand new after you added this new info.

    Great job in the preseason now. Looking forward to getting the sheet this football season!!!!

      My Excel Program was written this past summer and is based on Statistics, looking for better teams as dogs or small faves. It's all numbers.

      My NFL Yardage Formula was developed during the summer of 2002 and is grounded in Contrare Logic--the precise opposite of my Excel Program.

      But I can still use the Excel Program to do my research on contrare stuff much faster by simply punching in numbers--rather than doing the numbers by hand, which is how I have always done my research--and then take those numbers and apply my logical contrare criteria.

      These plays are Yardage Formula Picks with a tightened Criteria. Not tightened in the sense of sub-dividing into various categories like home, road, division, non-division, fave, dog, etc. But tightened in the sense of tightening up the actual Criteria itself regardless of what sub-category the plays fall under.

        PRO EDGE Online Tipsheet hit Monday Night with the COWBOYS to move its Pre-Season Record to 5-1-1 ATS.

        I've got TWO Solid Plays this Friday Including the PRO EDGE Upset Special (2-0 SU and ATS) and a COMPLETE MISMATCH BLOWOUT.

            The Yardage Formula RAW was pretty good. It's got about 300 games under its belt with over a 60% clip. But it's just too many plays.

            I woudn't mind that many plays if it had years like it did in 2001 and 2002. But when it pumps out, say, nearly a 100 picks, that's a lot of plays when only hitting about 52-53% those years.

            The whole point of going over it somemore was to find something exceptional without throwing out the baby with the bath water. Same thing with the Blowout Formula. There's something there. I just have to toy with it. The logic is there and ought to work and work well...
