  • Two for Tuesday

Lets give you all two good totals to cash in on tonight.

Houston/Cubs over 7.5 (-115)---Looks like Houston found their bats again, and that is good for the over backers tonight as Maddux hasn't been brillant against the Astros, and Pettite has been hit hard during his career against the Cubs.

Mets/Pirates over 8 (+110)--Wow has M. Redman lost his touch. Last 5 games his ERA is around the 10 mark. Giving way too much credit I think to Benson. This has 10 runs written all over it.

Good luck to all that follow tonight!

Great Work Rook- Thanks for the write up- Mind if I present a few thoughts? Please feel free to jump in my thread anytime. You are right on most counts.
However, Redman has not been pitching well overall but did get an under in a 5-4 loss - I believe he pitched only 5 innings against Colorado in Colorado last game and Benson was an under as well giving up one run to SD last game. On that note - it would seem that both pitchers have found some of their tempo and the game could possibly go under. If you look further back -then it appears an easy over.
Perception and reality is generally 50-50 chance of hitting. However, these guys are not premier pitchers and 8 runs seems to be a low total for what the pitchers and bats etc present. I like the over here.
On Maddox- he pitched well recently and seems to go in spurts - Petite has been pitching pretty solid lately. A 135 WHIP for Maddox and .083 WHIP for Petite the last 3 games. The only thing I like about this over is the bull pens lack of stopping anyone. That is if they get to their bullpens. Chicago is 7-2 in the last 9 Maddox starts and Pitt is 8-2 in the last 10 Petite starts. This practically engineers a defensive game because both teams need this game and Chicago is losing ground to the front runner.
Again 7.5 is a low total for these guys- Pinnacle has em now at 8 - are they capable of keeping it under- Yes. How can you be defeated here- Starters pitch most of the way. Bull Pens are not a big part of the equation.

Thank you for the analysis....that was GREAT stuff.

There are compelling stats that could favor both of them going under. Please believe me...I welcome your thoughts and constructive critisim if you have any on my plays. I don't take it the wrong way if I know its coming from someone like you. It makes for good conversation.
