The Dodgers got a good effort from Derek Lowe in his last start but that came on the road but now he heads home where things haven’t been as good. He has a 4.50 ERA in his 12 home starts and the opposition is hitting .281 in those games. He has been either very good or very bad recently, allowing five runs or more in three of his last seven starts and not surprisingly, all three of those games coming at home.
The Dodgers are hitting just .248 over their last 10 games while the pitching staff has a team ERA of 5.76 including a 9.91 ERA from the bullpen. That is certainly not a good combination especially against a pitcher who is on a great run.
