i always go to the city aug 1 to see a great cover band ,,,,ZENTRICKSTERS
ALL they do is dead songs and since jerrys death they play aug 1 every yr

if ur in nyc on sept,,truck big john and me and others are going to see the bob weir band (ratdog)

I'm in NY September 22 - 27 for a convention w/ my wife.
If you ever get a chance go to see WSP they are the best that is left. Alot of the members of WSP are from Mississippi and I grew up in high school and early college jamming w/ 'em at the local clubs.

when ur there pick up the village voice paper,,its free and they tell you whos playing where for the upcoming weeks,,theres bands playing everynight..ill keep on eye on it for you..go down to little italy when your here,,they have the best food in nyc and its so much fun down at mulberry street..and you have china town and soho there and tons of bars...its a famous street that the mob ran for yrs,,and theres around 20 rest and u eat outside or whatever you like ,,its really awesome..than u can go to di niros place and there the sporting club right down there its a wesome sportsbar too..ill get some info and send it ur way
