    NBA Basketball
4 Units on Los Angeles Lakers -3 -110
The Kings already have clinched the Pacific Division title and are 1 1/2 games behind Midwest Division-leading San Antonio for the best record in the league and home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. Sacramento has won 11 of 12, including a 107-85 victory over Seattle on Tuesday. Chris Webber scored 20 points and Peja Stojakovic added 18 for the Kings, who shot 51 percent. The Lakers are in sixth place in the West, just one-half game behind Minnesota and one behind fourth-place Portland. On Tuesday, the Lakers posted their eighth victory in nine games, 108-99, over Dallas. Devean George led six players in double figures with 21 points in a contest in which Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant each scored only 14 points. It marked the first time this season that the Lakers were not led by O'Neal or Bryant. The Kings have won two of three against the Lakers this season, including a 105-99 triumph here on December 25.

    MLB Baseball
    4 Units on New York Mets -1½ +135 (Glavine - L, Beckett - R)
The Florida Marlins' new catcher looks to continue flourishing in his new environment in the rubber game of a series with the New York Mets at Pro Player Stadium. After getting walked in four straight at-bats in Florida's 4-1 loss to the Mets on Tuesday, Rodriguez factored heavily in a 3-2 victory over New York on Wednesday. He lined the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning after blasting his third homer of the year in the sixth. While his offensive heroics were important, the perennial AL Gold Glove Award-winner also sparkled behind the plate. His snap throw to first in the top of the ninth picked off pinch-runner Joe McEwing to snub a potential Met rally.
