The 22-year-old lefty, Vargas was the Marlins' second-round pick in 2004, has made a rapid ascent to the majors. He was 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA in three starts at Double-A Carolina, following successful stints earlier in 2005 at high Class-A Jupiter and Class-A Greensboro. Because this is his first game the public will love to bet the over and the bookies have set the totals very high, but we should be smart and bet the UNDER!
For the 2nd game we have Texas to beat Yankees, it is unbeleivable that bookies have Yankees as the favourite in this game. Brown is coming back from injury and it is more of a bad news than good news to the team. Brown struggled all year long and expect him to get him torn apart by the Texas offense. Texas already trashed him in the yankee stadium and they are going to do double the damage since this game is in arlington park! Rodriguez has never pitched against yankees, however he is decent at home and should be able to hold the Yankees from catchin up.
