Hey guys, I need a little advice here.
I'm new to the forum..trying to fit in here little by little. It's a bit tougher since I have a service, so I have to make sure I try to keep things on the up and up. I honestly didn't mean anything by putting my US Open picks in the sports discussion forum, and hopefully that's understood.
The questions I have are for both services that post here and people here who might have paid or looking to pay a service at some point.
I got an email from a guy and here's the nuts and bolts of it.
The first one was this:
CAN I HAVE A LIST OF ALL YOUR MLB PLAYS YOU GAVE OUT FOR THIS PAST WEEK, ALONG WITH THE LINES FOR EACH OF THEM AND THE UNITS YOU PLAYED ON THEM. MAY BE INTERESTED BUT I WANT TO SEE THIS FIRST.
ok....kinda blunt, but I gave it to him then directed him to my site where I have all my plays from every day.
Then this:
CAN I HAVE THE UNITS THESE ALL WERE PLAYED AT AS WELL. AND DO YOU PROVIDE A WRITEUP WITH THEM. IF SO CAN I SEE HOW YOU ANALYZED THEM. DON'T MEAN TO BE A HARD ASS, BUT WITH ALL THE FRAUDS RUNNING AROUND, I NEED TO BE SAFE AND SMART, SO PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS PERSONAL. PLUS IF YOU CAN SHOW LEGITIMACY YOU WILL HAVE A CLIENT SO ITS A GOOD PAYOFF FOR YOU AS WELL, RIGHT. THANKS
Again.....I can understand and appreciate that. I tell him that all my plays are one unit, no more no less, and that no, I don't have all my writeups for games for him. There are days that sometimes I dont' provide them. Rest assured if I don't provide them the research has been done.
Then the red flags come in for me.....
IF YOU DON'T MINE ME ASKING, WHY IS IT THAT YOU BECAME A SERVICE? WHATS THE HONEST REASON? AND DO YOU HAVE ANY PLAYING EXPERIENCE IN ANY SPORTS HIGHER THEN HIGH SCHOOL OR ANY COACHING EXPERIENCE AT LEAST AT THE HS LEVEL AND UP? THIS IS SOMETHING I NEED TO KNOW, BUT NOT WHATS THAT IMPORTANT. HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR A WEEK OF SERVICE?
DO YOU GUARANTEE A WINNING WEEK OR MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED? OH, AND I NOTICED THE TIMES THAT YOU ARE PLANNING TO RELEASE YOUR PLAYS, MY QUESTION FOR YOU IS ISNT THAT ALITTLE TO EARLY TO CONFIRM THE LINEUPS FOR THE GAMES. IF I REMEMBER, DON'T THE LINEUPS COME OUT AROUND AN HOUR BEFORE GAMETIME. IF SO, THEN HOW CAN YOU GIVE OUT A PLAY WITHOUT FIRST CONFIRMING WHO IS GOING TO PLAY. I KNOW SOMETIMES THE STARTERS WILL TAKE A DAY OFF AND I WOUD BE SICK IF I PLAYED A GAME AND FOUND OUT THAT, LETS SAY BRIAN ROBERT FROM BALT IS PLANNING ON TAKE A DAY OFF TODAY, WHICH IS ONLY CONFIRMED BEFORE THE GAME. WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT THIS SITUATION AND WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU FIND OUT LATER THAT SOMEONE IS OUT OF THE LINEUP. THANKS AGAIN FOR TAKING THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THIS TO ME.
OH YEAH, HOW MANY ACTIVE CLIENTS DO YOU HAVE NOW.AND DO YOU DO THIS FULL TIME OR PART TIME? IF PART-TIME, THEN WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING? LASTLY, HOW OLD ARE YOU AND WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
My question is two part...for the services....have you gotten emails like this? This is a first for me. Felt like I was in an interview. And for those that are looking or have had a service....are these typical questions?
I finally got one more this morning that had this in it.
YOU HAVE BEEN AT BETTORSCHAT, HOW LONG. WELL, THERE IS ABOUT 5 SERVICES AT BETTORSCHAT WHO HAVE WON US THEIR MANY TIMES OVER. THEY ARE THE ONLY LEGIT AND FORTH WORTH SERVICES THERE. HOW DO I KNOW THIS? BECAUSE WHAT THEY PROVIDE US AND BECAUSE THEY DON'T RUN AWAY AND MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT OTHER'S JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE ASKING A QUESTION OR QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND YOU, WHO RUN YOUR BUSINESS.
I"m curious about somethings...and maybe I"ll learn a thing or two about running a service and thinking as a client. I've been in this business a little over a year, so I don't claim to know everything there is to know.
Is this typical guys?
