Jose Lima is a contact pitcher that has a change up as his go to pitch. He throws a fastball that tops out at 90 MPH. Lima gets very few strikeouts, therefore most of his outs come in the form of groundouts or flyouts. He has allowed a large number of homeruns this year. This is probably because he is not a sinkerball type pitcher. When he gets the ball over the meat of the plate, he easily gives up the long ball. He will not match up well with the big bats of Texas.
The Royals win streak may come to an end today. The Rangers bats should come out after taking the day off yesterday. If Chan Ho Park can keep his control problems to a minimum he will have a very good chance at winning this game. Look for the Rangers to score plenty of runs against the homerun prone Lima.
