  • SUNDAY NIGHT'S ESPN MLB SIDE AND TOTAL w/ SHORT WRITE-UP INSIDE!

Aloha Gang...Lets get right to it...Been on strong roll to start the MLB season so far and today I look to end this week with a solid Dog Winner.

    *TOP RATED COMP PLAY ON:

    Chicago WS +154

-Sticking with the Hot W Sox's today as they go for the SWEEP...Minny sends their Ace and last seasons AL Cy Young award winner, Santana, to the hill to face Chicago's Buehrle, which should be a good matchup...Last season Santana, posted a record of 20-6 with a 2.61 ERA, but he hasnt found as much success in dominating this WSox team in the past and only has a 3-4 record with a 5.40 ERA in 14 lifetime appearances(8 starts) vs Chicago...In addition to this, he is coming into this game off a rather poor performance vs the Mariners, where he gave up 4 runs on 5 hits in just 5 innings of work...He did though strike out 6 and walked only one batter in that game, but it is clear that he is not yet on top of his game...

Chicago's Buehrle, on the other hand, has found more success vs the Twins as he is 13-7 with a 3.95 ERA in 23 games(21 starts) vs them...And, LHP Buehrle was 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA in three starts at Minnesota last season.....Buehrle is also coming into this one off of 8 solid shutout innings pitched, giving up just 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking just one Indian batter...Someting is definately working well early for this WSox's team who is off to one of their best ever starts with their 4-1 record so far....This early success seems to be the combination of their slugging power at the plate, complimented by their solid pitching from starters on the hill....So far this year, their sluggers at the plate have lauched 8 bombs ranking 3rd best in the league, while Minny has only recorded 4 HRs so far on the year....Also, in the mix is the fact that the WSox have found success on the bases also, where they currently are tied for 2nd with 5 SBs compared to only 1 SB from the Twins base runners...But, complimenting Chicago's power at the plate has come from the WSoxs solid play on the hill by their starters, who has shown mid-season form by posting a 3-0 record with a solid 1.91 ERA to boot..

Last season, neither Chicago or Minny dominated the other in the series win column, with Minny winning 10 and Chicago winning 9 of the 19 total games they played against eachother...However, the WSox was able to get a 3 game SWEEP of the Twins late last year in the Metrodome and they look very poised today to do it again....Eventhough it is still early in the season, I have to side with the team who seems to be playing more consistant ball in all phases of the game and closer to mid-season form....Chicago is definately the Hotter team overall and also have the momentum on their side as well....And sometimes, momentum is all you need to keep that winning ways rolling on...Focus and motivation today for Chicago shouldnt be lacking also as they have a chance again to Sweep the best team in the AL Central last season, while also facing the best AL pitcher in Santana, in the process....I have simply no reasons to believe that the WSox's wont be able to get the SWEEP of the Twins, in their House, for the second straight season.....So with that said, I am takin the WSox's to extend their streak to 3 wins in a row off of another solid balanced attack from the plate and the mound...

    *REGULAR PLAY ON:

    CWS/Minny OVER 7.5 +111

-With this one being played in the climate controlled Metrodome, their could be a lot of big bombs finding their way over the wall...In Saturday's game, Minny hit two HR's while Chicago hit 3 long dingers in the 8-5 win...At plus money and with both teams motivated in their own ways to getting this one done, I dont see a defensive battle but a possible offensive one....At plus money, in the dome, with a shutdown pitcher not in top form yet, I feel the Over is definately worth a shot here..

Anyways Gang, lets keep the positive results rolling in and end this winning week on a solid winning note...The Gridiron and Hoops provided me and my clients back to back Solid Profitable seasons so far...Now, we go for the Trifecta in the Bases...So Juice Em Up Baby!....And Then LETS GO GET EM!...ALOHA CC.
