**BIG GAME PLAY"--TOURNEY GAME OF THE YEAR on:

    UCONN -5 (EZ BLOWOUT WINNER!)

-It seems that many people are on GT primarily because they feel that this is too many points to be giving in a National Championship Game, and hardly anything else. Well, I wish handicapping for me was as simple as that. But I rather break it All down and compare matchups, look for situations, and those advantages, etc, which gives me confidence in the team I select should win both SU and ATS. After I completed this process, I found that the overwhelming BEST side to back is with the HUSKIES. Due to time constraints and lack of rest, below are most of the Major advantages that were in favor of the Huskies today...

First off, lets get this one out of the way. On Nov 26, this GT team upset this Uconn team in the pre-season NIT semi-final game 77-61 as an 8 pt dog...I say that win carries no weight which could indicate another win by GT today...Here are the reasons why that game is meaningless to me...1.That game was way back on Nov 26, 2003. A whole season went by and Uconn is a better, more mature and dominant team.... 2. Uconn had a bad night on a neutral court, shooting just under 38% from the field, and scoring just 61 pts. Since then, Uconn, on neutral courts, over the entire course of the season has gone 7-3 ATS, averaged scoring 76.2 ppg, to GT's averaging just 68 pts. Uconn, also holds an advantage over GT in all games played on neutral courts in FG%, 3 pt FG%, and Rebs pg. GT only holds an advantage over Uconn in FT% in all neutral court games...3. Uconn in that game missed 20 FTs, going 10-30 (33%). I seriously don't see that happening again today...4. Uconn went 1-10(10%) from behind the ARC. On the year, Uconn shooting 40.5% from 3 pt land...5. Okafor only had 9 pts and went 2-10 from the field, and also played sparringly due to a back injury. Okafor doesn't seem to be injured anymore, and averages on the year in DDs in pt scored and rpg...6. Uconn's backup Big Men, Villanueva and Boone, were young snot nose Freshmen at that time. They both are season veterans now. Plus, Villanueva did not play in that game due to ineligibility. He is eligible for this one...7. GT in that game on a neutral court shot 40% from 3 pt land, 73% from the line, and grabbed 47 rebs. Since then in all games on a neutral court, this output dropped to these averages, 34% from 3 pt land, 69.4% from the line, and 33 rpg...This is a different time and they both are different teams.

Big Front Court Matchup: Uconn's Okafor vs GT's Luke "Carrot Top" Schencher. Are you kidding me or what...NO CONTEST. Okafor, a unaminous choice for All American Center, and runner up for Player of the Year. Carrot Top, average performer overall. Okafer averages 18.1 ppg, 4.3 bpg, 11.7 rpg, and 60% FG. Carrot Top averages 8.8 ppg, 1.5 bpg, 6.4 rpg, and 55% FG. Okafor also ranked #1 in Block Shots in the Nation, and #2 in Rebounding in the Nation. Carrot Top unknown.

-If Okafor gets into foul trouble and needs to sit, he has capable replacements in Boone who scored in Okafor's absence against Duke 9 pts, 14 rebs, and 1 blk shot. Also, Villanueva, who due to Okafor's foul trouble had 8 pts, 6 rebs, and 2 blk shots, against Duke. If Carrot Top has to sit due to foul trouble, GT is done. But they will try to get help from two reserves who both play under 10 mins per game. Won't help to do anything except send Okafor to the line alot.

Other Front Court Matchups: GT's Muhammad and Moore vs Uconn's Villanueva and Boone. Uconn's Villanueva and Boone are #2 and #3 in rpg on the team behind Okafor. They both have an advantage in size at 6' 10", to GT's Muhammad who is 6'6 and Moore at 6'5". Villanueva and Boone simply are better shooters, boarders, and players.

Major Back Court Matchups: Uconn's Gordon and Brown vs GT's Elder and Jack. Between Gordon and Jack, both are comparable in FG%, and FT%. But Gordon does average more ppg at 17.9 to Jacks average of 12.4 ppg. Gordon also is a better shooter from downtown at 44% from behind the ARC, compared to Jacks shooting only 33% from behing the ARC. Due to Elder's injury leaving him less than 100%, this matchup evens out as Elder no longer can be relied upon to be the team's leading scorer. Uconn's Brown who has been struggling to score, does provide a lot in way of his ability to run the offense. In fact, he is one of only two Pt guards to lead a Uconn team to the National Title game. The other being Khalid El-Arman. Also, Brown is Uconn's All Time assist leader and is ranked #3 in the nation in assist. Never under estimate the importance of a very good ASSIST man, because he doesn't put up big numbers. Just remember, there would of been no Karl Malone without a John Stockton, Believe That!

Other Back Court Matchups: Uconn's Anderson vs GT's Lewis. Between these two, the numbers are very similar. Both are coming up Big for each team. Advantage here comes from who ever is in the zone.

Uconn vs GT Team Matchup: Uconn will have the definite advantage in size as Uconn has 4 Guys who are 6'10" or bigger. GT's only real big Guy is Carrot Top at 7'1". There other two big guys are 6'9" and 6'8", but they play less than 10 mins per game. Uconn will have a advantage in the paint and on the boards, due to the size and strength of the guys down low. Uconn outboards GT by about 7 more rebounds per a game. Uconn can survive if Okafor gets in foul trouble due to Villanueva and Boone, but if GT's Schenscher gets in foul trouble, it will be over for them. In fact, in their first meeting back on Nov 26, Schenscher foul out and only had 2pts in 21 mins of play.

GT's hot back court shooting may keep them in this game if Okafor is to dominant over Schenscher, but they lack any consistency in who will be the guy to step up or get hot. Uconn's Offense is a lot more balanced because of the dominant play of Okafor inside and the consistant Gordon outside. GT's Luke Schenscher has been surging and picking up his game the past two, but repeating those game high performances against the best big man in the land in Okafor will not be any simple task at all for the 7'1" Freshman from Australia.

Uconn is a team that is on a roll, beating each of its 4 Tournament Opponents by an average of 17 ppg. GT though also taking care of some notable opponents, haven't been as dominant and those wins weren't easy by any means. In fact, their wins in their last 5 games were by 5 pts, 3 pts, 5 pts, 8 pts, and 2 pts.

GT, in the ACC Tournament, got blownout by Duke and that loss on a neutral court, tells me a lot, as I compare Uconn's narrow victory over Duke. I feel, that even though Uconn only beat Duke by 1 pt, the score in that game was definately no true reflection of what could of happened and what should have happened to Duke, as well as what did happen to Duke by this Uconn team. The fact that Uconn was able to dominate Duke in the early part of the 1st half, even though Okafor only played 3:55, and scored no pts, but yet Uconn was able to easily get a DD lead on the Blue Devils tells me a lot about how this Husky team is jelling into a dominant force that no one will be able to stop at this time. Okafor is the KEY for them though to be able to dominate GT from start to finish.

In fact, in the Duke game, when Okafor had to sit after only playing for 3 mins and 55 seconds, Duke was able to get back that DD deficit and then get up on them by DD's. But, in the 2nd half and upon Okafor's return to the game, Duke was totally mismatched on all facets due to Okafor's presence. Here are some of the things that happened in the 2nd half of that game. Okafor scored all his 18 pts in the second half, while also grabbing 7 rebounds in the second half. Luol Deng who scored 12 pts in the 1st half when Okafor was on the bench, scored ONLY 4 pts in the 2nd half with Okafor in the game. Three of Duke's Big Men all fouled out, while Okafor only picked up one foul for the entire 2nd half. Duke took 15 fewer shots in the 2nd half, as compared to the first half with no Okafor. Uconn who had 18 turnovers in the 1st half, only turned the bal over 6 times in the 2nd half with Okafor playing the entire half. Okafor's return in the 2nd half resulted in these final numbers favoring Uconn, Uconn shoots 50% from the field compared to Duke shooting 40%. Uconn grabbed a total of 43 rebounds compared to Dukes grabbing 36. Uconn held Duke to just 27% from 3pt land, while Uconn shot 50% from 3pt land. And lastly, Uconn with Okafor in the game in the 2nd half comesback to overcome a double digit lead by Duke and wins SU.

Some past Tournament stats which favor Uconn today. Favs of 4-6 pts are 12-5 SU and ATS from the Final Four games till the Championship game. Also based on Conf teams in the Final Four games and beyond, Big East teams have gone 8-4 SU and 10-2 ATS.

In conclusion, based on the player matchups in this game, the recent performances of both teams, the overall talent and athletic abilities between the two, the results of their games vs common opponent as well as with each other, and lastly the Coaching aspects, I feel that Uconn definately has the advantages in their favor. They should be able to control the Yellow Jackets from start to finish and at both ends of the court, and it wouldn't surprise me if they win by DDs today. If you want, you can even throw in the Revenge Factor in to the mix, but today's game is for the National Championship, so that should be enough motivation in itself...Take the Huskies and lay the number with them to end their year as National Champions. Good Luck and Aloha CC.

          *"BGP"-GOY UPDATE AND RESULTS:

-Aloha Gang...this was the GOY and Massive Indepth Write-Up I released on Easter Sunday.

"BIG GAME PLAY"--TOURNEY GAME OF THE YEAR selection on:

Michigan State +1.5 (94-88 OT WINNER!)

These two teams are very similar in a lot of areas and have a lot in common with eachother....For instance, both like to rely on their depth and balanced attack as a means to wearing down their opponents....Also, they both have a very successful coach leading them who has won a National Championship in the past....However, eventhough the Spartans and Wildcats may seemingly play alike, look alike, etc....it is Mich St, who I feel possess the major KEY EDGES on their side which should lead them to the Final Four....The following is the list of these major KEY EDGES & MORE, which will lead to a Spartan victory today.

*KEY EDGE #1: Michigan St's Coach Izzo.

-With all due respect to Kentucky's Coach Smith, I feel that Coach Izzo is one of the best, if not the best when it comes to Tournament games and the his record in the post season supports this...Coach Izzo won a National Title and took the Spartans to 3 previous Final Fours...In the NCAA Tournament, Izzo is at his best, winning at a clip of .760 to rank second among all active coaches with at least 10 tournament games coached....With Michigan State's win over Duke, head coach Tom Izzo tied Mike Krzyzewski for the best NCAA Tournament winning percentage among active coaches at .786...Kentucky's Tubby Smith ranks fourth (.730).

In today's game, Coach Izzo takes Mich St to its 5th Elite Eight appearance in the last 7 years...making the Spartans the ONLY team to appear in more than 3 Elite Eights during this span.....One of the main reason for his success, besides his coaching abilities, is the fact that he has a solid program at Mich St which attracts some of the best young talent....For ex, in his tenure as HC at Mich St, he has been able to recruit 8 McDonald's All-Americans, including 7 in the last 6 years...and this years team has 3 of them playing for him...in Kelvin Torbert-2001, Paul Davis- 2002, and Shannon Brown- 2003.

Coach Izzo's big-game coaching ability already showed itself in their last game, with the upset of #1 seeded Duke...This to me says a lot, especially because of Coach K and who the Blue Devils were able to defeat this year....With Coach Izzo and talent this Spartan team has they will be able to extend their tournament run to the Final Four...

*KEY EDGE #2: Michigan St's Team Experience.

-One important area where these teams are different is when it comes to experience...Among the Spartans most valuable contributors, only PG Neitzel is a freshman. F Alan Anderson, G Kelvin Torbert and G Chris Hill are seniors while C Paul Davis and G Maurice Ager are juniors....Basically, Mich St has the same team it had the previous two seasons....Kentucky, on the other hand, beside their two returning veterans in Sr F Hayes and Jr G-F Azubuike...has relied heavily this season on 4 Freshmen being their 4th, 5th, and 6th most used players in (Rondo, Randolph Morris, Ramel Bradley and Joe Crawford) and a first-year transfer (Patrick Sparks).

Last season the Wildcats beat the Spartans 79-74 at Ford Field in Detroit...However, Kentucky lost 3 starters from that team while the Spartans return all of theirs...Overall from last season, Kentucky lost 4 key seniors...and for Mich St's 5 seniors, this is their time.

*KEY EDGE #3: Michigan St's Prolific Offense.

-Michigan St's offense is averaging 78.2 points per game, leading the Big Ten and ranking 15th in the nation....It is MSU's highest-scoring offense since the 1994-95 Spartans averaged 78.4 points, led by Shawn Respert's 25.6 ppg, and the highest of Tom Izzo's head coaching career.....

-At the conclusion of the Big 10 Conf games, Mich St led the conf in 3 major statistical categories, including FG% (49.8%), FT % (79.2%), and in Reb Margin (+9.1)....They also ended up ranking in the Top 10 nationally in 5 catergories and in the Top 15 nationally in 6 categories...ie, 4th in the nation in FT% (77.4%), 5th in the nation in Scoring Margin (+14.4), 7th in the nation in Assist per game (17.4) and FG% (49.8%), 9th in Reb Margin (+7.5), and 15th in Scoring Offense (78.2 ppg).

-Balance Scoring has been another main reason for their success this year....Mich St has 4 players who average double figures in scoring, and two others are averaging at least 9.1 ppg....And, until recently they were the only team in the nation who had 6 players scoring in double figures....This balance, has allowed Mich St the ability to withstand a poor shooting night from any one or two of their main scorers..a luxury most teams in the land do not even come close to having...Through 31 games, six different Spartans have led the team in scoring this season. Alan Anderson has done it 12 times, while Maurice Ager has done it nine times. Paul Davis has done it seven times. Kelvin Torbert and Chris Hill have led the team in three games and Shannon Brown has done it once.

-Over 1,000 Career-Points Scored Club...Mich St lineup features 4 players who has scored over 1,000-career points, including Sr Hill (1,530), Sr Anderson (1,182), Sr Torbert (1,179), and Jr Davis (1,111)....This is the first time in school history that they have had 3 seniors who has scored over 1,000 points and 4 players on the squad who has scored over 1,000 points....Main reason for so many players putting up a lot of points is due to the unselfishness of this Spartan team which led to their 7th national ranking in assist per game...and also the ability to win 22 of their 31 games this season by double digits.

*KEY EDGE #4: Michigan St's Free Throw Shooting.

-As most of you know, the ability to make your shots from the charity stripe can mean the difference between winning and losing most times...It also gives a team an edge in close physical games, like I expect this one to be, to make up a deficit, take a lead, and also extend a lead especially late in the game....Well, in this category, the Spartans have a Big Edge over the Wildcats....Currently, Michigan St ranks 4th in the nation in FT% (77.5 pct. through March 21)....
The Spartans also has 4 players who are shooting at least 80.3% from the FT line...from players with at least 30 attempts, Alan Anderson paces the way, connecting on 87.1% of his attempts (106-of-122)....In fact, Anderson, Shannon Brown (85.2 percent), Kelvin Torbert (82.7 percent) and Maurice Ager (80.3 percent) rank first, second, third and fifth in the Big Ten in FT%.....AWESOME!

All else being equal, it is always wise to pick the team that is more accurate from the charity stripe when making Elite Eight selections....Importantly, the Spartans (77.6 %) shoot significantly better from the free throw line than do the Wildcats (66.1 %)....Again, in a close game, free throws are likely to make the difference between winning and losing....So I see this as a major advantage for the Spartans today...

-Sidenote: Mich St in the Tourney so far are a combined 19-of-20 from the free-throw line in the final 1:05 of each game.....Solid!

*KEY EDGE #5: Michigan St's Solid Rebounding..

-Rebounding and post presence are also keys to success and this is one big thing which Coach Izzo continually preaches...So its not surprising to me that the Spartans have excelled this year on the boards...In fact, Michigan St. outrebounded their foes by +7.5 boards per game, good for 9th in the nation....In addition, they are also hitting the offensive glass, grabbing 11.87 offensive boards per game....Mich St led the Big 10 conference in rebounding margin and ranked 3rd in offensive rebounds....Rebounding is also a good indicator of the team's success....MSU is 22-3 when it out-rebounds its opponent, 2-3 when it is out-rebounded and 1-0 when the rebounds are equal.
Sidenote: In Big Ten games, Mich St's rebounding margin was +9.1...So far in the Tournament games, MSU has a +1.0 margin.

Center Paul Davis and Alan Anderson are both physical powerhouses on the glass, who leads the team in rebounding per game with their combined 13.2 rpg average...But it is Paul who will be key figure down low and his recent play on the boards has been excellent....Mr. Double-Double, as Davis is being called, has recorded a double-double in six of his last 13 games....The trend started with a 10-point, 12-rebound game at Iowa...In the next game, he scored 10 points and grabbed a career-best tying 12 rebounds vs. Ohio State...He scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds again against Minnesota...He recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds vs. Wisconsin....In the second round of the NCAA Tournament vs. Vermont, he scored 11 points and grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds....And, most recently, he scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, including a career-high 7 offensive rebounds vs. Duke... He has also recorded eight double-doubles this season and 11 in his career...And over the last 13 games, Davis is averaging 11.3 points and 9.3 rebounds.
Sidenote: After 3 rounds in the Tourney, Davis has averaged 15 points and 10.7 rebounds, while shooting better than 47% from the field.

The 6-foot-11 Davis may have to contend with Kentucky's assortment of big men, especially because I see him giving the Wildcats Fr C Morris some trouble...While others feel that the Wildcats will use the same tactic against Davis, that they found success with against All-American C Bogut of Utah, by attacking with a lot of help in the interior to disrupt him....I feel that this may not be so easy for them to do because Michigan St, unlike Utah, has to many weapons on the floor to deal with beside Davis....Utah's one man gang of Bogut made it a lot easier for them to use this approach....Today, they face a team like that of Florida, whom they lost twice to this year...that is balanced from the inside and outside with multiple scoring threats on the floor at one time....Plus, Smith only called upon Obrzut and Alleyne on Friday because starting C Randolph Morris picked up two early fouls...Furthermore, though the Wildcats' reserves did a solid job guarding Andrew Bogut, to ask Obrzut and Shagari Alleyne to do the same against Davis would be to tempt fate once too often...After all, the two averaged less than 10 minutes combined per game this season...

Mich St's C Davis more than any other player, he has the ability to change the dynamic of today's game with Kentucky...and by his ability to dominate the Duke big man F Williams, scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 rebs (7 off rebs)...I like his matchup a lot vs Kentucky's foul happy Fr C Morris.

*KEY EDGE #6: Michigan St's Bench Scoring.

-Both teams has tremendous depth..and both will use it to wear down their opponents....However, Michigan St's has another advantage here because they experienced talent coming off the bench with two All-Big Ten performers in G Torbert (3rd team All-Big Ten 2004) and G Hill (2nd team All-Big Ten performer in 2003 and 2004)....You can have a lot of players to keep others fresh, but what good really is this if these reserves are not productive somewhat offensively, as Kentucky's bench players arent on a consistant basis....They did account for 26 pts vs Utah, but again..this is not the one man team of the Utes they are facing today....Plus, besides the Spartans possessing one of the best all-around starting lineups in this years tourney....their bench has also been solid productive players....In fact, Mich St's bench has outscored its opponent's bench in 26 out of 31 games...And, the Spartan subs have scored 296 more points (9.5 per game), in 14 of the 31 games.....Mich St's bench advantage has been greater than 10 points, including seven of 18 or more....Points and more points for the Spartans, Solid!

Sidenote: The Spartans took full advantage of their depth and athleticism, constantly changing matchups on Vermont stars Taylor Coppenrath and T.J. Sorrentine and getting fast break points on several occasions...The two combined for 42 points, but shot a combined 14-for-26 from the field. Michigan State (24-6) had a 16-2 edge in fast break points....Speaking of fast break points, Mich St in the Tournament so far has outscored its opponents in fast-break points by a combined 50-12 margin....Outstanding!

*KEY EDGE #8: Michigan St's Current Solid Tournament Play.

-The Spartans has been alot more impressive to me in the Tournament's first 3 rounds in all parts of the game overall...Below are some stats from those 3 rounds.

          * MSU Offense:

          * Michigan State is averaging 79.7 points per game, and shooting 48.3% from the field.
          * The Spartans have a combined rebound margin of +1.0.
          * Nine different Spartans average at least 11.7 minutes per game.
          * Five Spartans average in double figures, while six average 6.7 points or more.
          * C Davis averages a double-double with 15.0 points and 10.7 rebounds.
          * G Torbert ranks fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 11.3 points per game. He entered the tournament averaging 7.0 points in the previous nine games.
*G Neitzel tied his season high with seven assists.
          * Michigan State committed nine turnovers, its second-lowest total of the season.
          * After shooting just 41.2 percent in the first half, the Spartans shot 59.1 percent in the second half, of their game vs Vermont.
          * In their game vs Old Dom, Michigan State's 89 points were the fourth most by a Spartan team in NCAA Tournament history.
          * The Spartans shot over 50% from the field in both halves vs Old Dom.

          *MSU Defense:

*Holding opponents to just 38.5 percent, including 33.3 percent in the second half.
          * Michigan State's defense held Vermont to 31.4 percent shooting, the second-lowest percentage by a Spartan opponent this season
          * After Old Dom shot 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from 3-point range in the first half, Mich St's defense stepped up and held them to just 11.1 percent (1-of-9) in the second half.
          * MSU is outscoring its opponents in fast-break points by a combined 50-12 margin.
-Michigan State outscored Old Dominion, 20-4, in fast-break points
-Michigan State outscored Vermont, 16-2, in fast-break points
-Michigan State outscored Duke, 14-6, in fast-break points.
Quote from Coach Izzo...he feels that this "may be the best fast break team I've had, especially after made baskets."

*KEY INDICATORS OF MICHIGAN ST'S ON TOP OF THEIR GAME: Results of their Upset of #1 Seeded Duke...Very Solid Overall Indicator.

          * The win was Michigan State's third against a No. 1 seed and its first since 1979.
          * Michigan State's defense held J.J. Redick and Daniel Ewing to 31 points on 11-of-30 shooting. In the first meeting of the season, the duo combined for 58 points on 19-of-32 shooting.
          * C Davis recorded his second straight double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, grabbing a career-high seven offensive rebounds.
          * Michigan State outscored Duke, 40-22, in points in the paint.
          * F Anderson established a MSU NCAA Tournament record with a career-best five steals.
          * Michigan State turned 16 offensive rebounds into 12 second-chance points.
          * Michigan State's defense forced 22 turnovers, the second-most committed by Duke this year, while allowing just 22 field goals. The Spartans converted the 22 turnovers into 29 points.
          * The Spartans shot 0-of-6 from 3-point range in the first half, but 5-of-8 in the second half.
          * Michigan State recorded its first victory over Duke since Dec. 29, 1958.

*KEY BACKCOURT MATCHUP FOR MICH ST: Stop Kentucky's Rondo and Sparks and the Cats are done.

-The real key to the 'Cats is the backcourt...When freshman Rajon Rondo (2.6 steals per game) is confidently penetrating on offense and disrupting on defense and junior Patrick Sparks (a streaky 37 percent from 3-point range) is making shots, Kentucky is tough to beat....But, when these two can be contained, Kentucky is vulnerable.... In UK's two biggest wins of the year, at Louisville and at Alabama....G Sparks was 12-for-18 from 3 pt land...However, in Kentucky's 4 losses, he was 4-for-27...So far for the Tourney, Sparks has shown his inconsistancy again..

-An inportant match-up features a pair of diaper dandy guards, Mich St's Drew Neitzel against Kentucky's Rajon Rondo...In this battle, it will come down to minimizing mistakes and making the key pass as both of their plays has been huge factors in both teams success....One thing I like though is with Mich St Neitzel taking the PG role, it has allowed others, most notably 6th man G Chris Hill, to play off the ball...and he is currently hitting over 40% of his shots from behind the Arc....Furthermore, since Neitzel replaced Hill in the starting lineup, the Spartans have gone 11-2.

Still, I like how Coach Izzo gameplanned against Dukes solid backcourt of JJ Redick and Daniel Ewing on Friday....where they rotated its perimeter players to keep Duke stars J.J. Redick and Daniel Ewing in check....In the Spartans' 78-68 upset of Duke, Redick and Ewing combined to make ONLY 11-of-30 shots for 36%....The Spartans were even more relentless against Duke's JJ Redick, the ACC player of the year, limiting him to just 13 points, nine below his average, and more importantly kept him scoreless over the final 8 minutes....Kentucky's G Rondo is shooting 64% from the field in the tournament, so I am expecting he as well be focused in on stopping today.....Hey is the Spartan's can stop Duke's outstanding backcourt, I see no reason to make me feel they cant do it again to this less productive tandem of Rondo and Sparks.

          *MICH ST'S MOTIVATION AND MOMENTUM:

-Revenge Factor-last season these two played at Ford Field in front of a world record crowd of 78,129 fans...and Kentucky won....This could be a bit of a payback game from that loss for the Spartans..

-Confidence and Momentum is on the Spartans side as they are coming off of big wins vs Vermont and #1 seed Duke...This win over Duke should be noted that it is big also because it is Coach Izzo's first win over the Blue Devils in his 5 tries....and, it is the Spartans 1st victory over Duke since Dec 29, 1958....The Wildcats win over Utah was not a big obsticle which anyone, including the Wildcats, saw as standing in their way and the majority of the game also showed it as Kentucky led for most of the second half.....So, this last win by the Wildcats isnt as monumental and thus wont provide them to much in way of a confidence builder or increased momentum to ride into this game vs Mich St's....as much as, Mich St's win over Duke should provides the Spartans...

-Michigan State, eventhough they won a National Championship under Coach Izzo, are still the nouveau kid on the block, looking to return to the Final Four by trying to knock off the most storied program in college history....that being the Kentucky Wildcats..

*SOME STATS, TRENDS, AND INFO: favoring Mich St.

-Ten of Michigan State's opponents, including six non-conference teams, from the 2004-05 season qualified for the NCAA Tournament. The list includes Delaware State, Duke, George Washington, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Oakland, Stanford, UCLA and Wisconsin. The Spartans were a combined 8-5 against the field of 65 during the regular season.

-Seven of Kentucky's regular-season opponents qualified for the NCAA Tournament, including Alabama, Florida, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, Mississippi State and North Carolina. The Wildcats were 6-4 against the field of 65 in the regular season.

-The Wildcats' Sr leader in F Hayes played under Mich St's Izzo two summers ago on the United States Pan American Games team....During this time under Coach Izzo, Hayes was so highly regarded by Izzo that he was selected to the team over Syracuse standout Hakim Warrick...Now, with this previous chance to work with Kentucky's 3rd leading scorer and leading rebounder, and with Izzo's guru like basketball knowledge....You think Coach Izzo knows this guy in and out enough to gameplan on how to take him out of the game or at least make him less effective today.....Hmmm, I think so....Familiarity with opponents tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses could play a role in helping the Spartans do just that.

-No. 5 Seeds In Tournament History - Michigan State is just the fifth No. 5 seed in NCAA Tournament history to advance to the regional finals since 1985, joining Virginia (1989), Mississippi State (1996), Florida (2000), Indiana (2002).. The last three No. 5 seeds to appear in the Elite Eight have all advanced to the Final Four..

-#5 Seeds have combined with #8 Seeds to post a 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS record in Elite 8 action (up to 2003)....Only #5 seed Rhode Island in '98 fell in this span by just 2 pts to Stanford.

-The Big 10 in the Elite 8 has had the best results along with the ACC, going 6-3 SU and 5-3-1 ATS since 98'.

-Mich St is 3-0 ATS and SU in Tournament games this year.

-Mich St is 5-1 ATS and SU in March games this year.

-Kentucky is 4-4 ATS in March games this year.

-Mich St is 7-3 ATS and 8-2 SU vs good defensive teams allowing 64 pts or less after 15+ games.

-Kentucky is 2-5 ATS and 4-3 SU vs good defensive teams allowing 64 pts or less after 15+ games.

-Kentucky is 1-3 ATS and 2-2 SU vs good offensive teams scoring 77+ ppg after 15+ games.

-Mich St is 4-0 SU when playing on one or less days of rest.
-Kentucky is 1-2 ATS and 2-1 SU when playing on one or less days of rest.

-Mich St in their last 5 games are averaging 79.6 ppg...their highest pt average all season.

-Kentucky in their last 5 games are averaging 67 ppg....their lowest pt average all season.

The Spartans are simply to loaded in the backcourt for Kentucky, even with their depth, to match in offensive production...And as we all know, guard play is what wins games in March as solid perimeter production is what is needed to make a deep run in the Madness...Clearly Mich St has a big advantage here, with PG Hill who is hitting better than 40% of his shots from 3 pt land...G Maurice Ager, who is also deadly from the perimeter as well, while G Brown and Torbert provide the additional firepower...

In addition to a solid inside-outside combo, which many teams have, the thing that sets apart the elite from the also-rans is that third option....Opponents can set up a game plan to shut down the top two players, but it is nearly impossible to contain a solid troika...which Kentucky doesn't have and which Mich St does...This is evident as Kentucky at times have gone through long stretches of low offensive output and their inexperience at some key spots is another reason why....The Wildcats are good defensively, and their defense has put them in position to win games many times this year...But again, scoring is an issue and especially in an up and down game, which the Spartans love to run whenever possible..and is the reason why they are shooting 49.6% for the season.

When needed, Kentucky showed just how deep its bench can go by playing 13 players in the victory over Utah....However, on the flip side, Michigan State has one of the deepest teams in the tournament and one of the best all-around starting lineups as well...as Izzo has 10 players who average 9.6 minutes per game and none that play 30 or more minutes.

The Bottom Line:.The Wildcats are overrated and can't score if they needed to...Plus, their depth can't compensate for their lack of a go-to-guy...The Spartans have the interchangeable parts and they have the scoring ability to win a hard-fought, physical game....Toughness, coaching, and great free throw shooting make this team very dangerous in a tournament setting....Thus, this is why MICHIGAN STATE +2...is designated as my "BIG GAME PLAY"--TOURNEY GAME OF THE YEAR selection......GL and LETS GO GET EM!.....ALOHA CC.

                FYI:

"BIG GAME PLAY"--CONF TOURNEY GAME OF THE MONTH selection on:

                FLORIDA E (68-62 WINNER!)

Gator's the SEC top scoring team with an average of 77.3 ppg....takes there HOT shooting offense and current Solid defensive play up against the SEC's West top seed and 20th ranked Alabama today in the SEC Semi-Final game in Atlanta....This one should be a very good game indeed, but I love the Gators to continue their dominance over the Crimson Tide again, and below is some of the reasons why I love this Gator team in this game.

The Gators are currently ranked # 1 in the SEC in Scoring Margin for the year at +14.3 ppg...and one reason for this is their defense, this year, has been playing solid ball ONLY giving up and average of 63.1 ppg....Still, other areas which the Gators have improved upon this year, which also played a part in their success and current HOT RUN these past games is their aggressive and physical play on the boards, someplace they were considered by many to be soft at...Well, this year the Gators have been proving a lot of critics wrong with their ranking of 2nd in the SEC, only behind Miss St's board bangers, led by All-American F Roberts, with a solid 7.2 rebounding margin for the SEC conf games...and a 6.4 rebounding margin for all games this year....Solid!

Bottom line, is the Gators have been playing very solid balanced ball both on offensive, where they rank 1st in the conf in Scoring Offense, and 1st in the FG%, as well as, on the Defensive end where they hold the 3rd best Scoring Defense in the SEC....The Gators, on offense, are also doing this by spreading the ball around effectively, and getting a lot of better higher % shots as their 3rd best ranking in Assist per game in the SEC conf can atest to...And this is Key for them, as they possess, a backcourt trio who can light it up from behind the Arc, something which is important as this is Alabama's strength what they depend on a lot.....In the Gator's game yesterday, this long range trio showed their deadly accuracy and poise from behind the Arc, hitting a season high 12 three pointers, 3 coming from G Robertson and G Brewer...and 5 from G Walsh, combining to go 12-of-24= 50%... But, this is not just team whose players got Hot in their game yesterday....No no no, the Gators are the only team in the SEC who has two players ranking in the top 10 in averaging more than 2.2 three point shots made per game, in G Roberson (1st in conf with a 3.15 avg pg) and G Walsh (7th in conf with a 2.2 avg pg), Alabama, btw, only has one player in the top 10 with Shelton (3rd averaging 2.79 per game).....Now that is consistancy from long range...and it is also another reason why I feel they will have the edge against Alabama's long range bombers...In addition, having two players with this ability also gives the Gator more opportunities to take a lead, extend a lead, and also to more importantly recover from a deficit...In these conf tourney games has shown, the teams who came out ahead were those who had the ability to do all three of these things, with their frontcourt leading the way....

Another area where the Gators have improved upon this year, and where I see them having an advantage in, is their aggressive and physical play on the boards...Currently the Gators are ranked 2nd in the Conf in Rebounding Margin, only behind Miss St...On the boards this year is where the Gators have been pounding the majority of their opponents...The Gator's downlow are led by Jr F Lee, who in their upset win over # 3 Kentucky two games ago had 10 rebounds leading all board bangers from both teams in that game....Lee is ranked 2nd in the conf in rebounding averaging 10.3 rpg, only behind Miss St's All-American F Roberts in this category....Still, in the Gator's game yesterday against the Bulldogs, they completely dominated by outrebounding them 32 to 22...and having a 14 to 6 offensive rebounding edge as well...Florida's Lee also had another big day as he outrebounded Roberts 9 to 5, which again led both teams in rebounding....However, Lee is not alone in grabbing the rock this year, as everyone seems to be helping out around the boards...And this has led to them as a team to rank 1st in the SEC in Defensive Rebounding and 2nd in Offensive Rebounding....Yesterday, the Gators frontcourt trio, of Walsh, Roberson, and Brewer, while leading all scorers with points...they also grabbed a combined 15 rebounds, 5 on the offensive end, as well as, 7 assist....Solid!....In the game with Alabama, the Gators were able to dominate them on the boards also outrebounding the Tide 46 to 23..and 16 to 4 on the offensive end....Today, I dont see why they cannot control the boards again...especially as it seems that the Tide are playing soft downlow, being outrebounded yesterday by Miss, and also outrebounded on the offensive end as well, in two of their last three games....Gators not playing soft this year down low and that is a Solid Positive for them today, especially after both Walsh, Roberson, and Lee was able to all score 18 pts a piece in that earlier blowout of the Tide...

Balancing out the solid offensive play of the Gators, have been their solid play on the defensive end...In the Gator's upset over Kentucky, their defense was able to come up big holding Kentucky's potent offense to a season low points total of ONLY 52 pts...In this win, the Gators defense also came up big by blocking 6 shots and grabbing 9 steals from the Wildcats, the most important coming in the final seconds of the game...In yesterdays game vs Miss St, the Gator defense came up big again, forcing 15 turnovers...12 steals and blocking 4 shots...Currently the Gators rank 3rd in Scoring Defense, 2nd in the SEC in Block Shots, and 5th in 3pt FG% defense holding opponents to just 32% from behind the Arc, important against this Bama team who can drain it from this area....In the earlier win over Alabama, the Gators defense came up big forcing 9 turnovers, 5 steals, and 3 blocks...to their 5 turnovers.....Also, in that game, the Gators knew they needed to attack and contain Alabama's Shelton, on the defensive end, and they did just that...holding this sharp shooter and the rest of the Crimson Tide's long range bombers to 5-of-17 from behind the Arc...and Shelton to only 6 pts total, on his 3-of-12, 25% shooting from the field....From what Alabama's G Shelton has done against Miss yesterday, where he hit 8 three's, I feel the bullseye already on his back just got a lot bigger for this Florida team's defense, especially because he was able to drain 7 three's in last years conf tourney game vs them...Key for the Gator's is to Stop Shelton first...They have done that in their blowout win, and it has been a tendency some times to fold when Shelton is not leading the way for them in point production.

Sidenote: Although the Tide's G Shelton was able to hit 8 three pointers, and go 9-of-12 from the field in their win over Miss...It should be noted that Miss is ranked 11th (2nd to last) in the conf in 3 pt FG% defense, allowing opponents to shoot 38% from behind the Arc...The Gators drained 12 three pointers against Miss St yesterday, but the Bulldogs are ranked 2nd in the league in 3pt FG% defense, only allowing 31% from behind the Arc....And they are also ranked 4th in FG% defense, while Ole Miss is ranked 10th in this category....Florida's offense vs the Bulldogs solid defense is way more impressive than Bama's was against a poor defense of the the Rebels...

Furthermore, in the Alabama/ Ole Miss game yesterday, besides G Shelton's hot day from behind the Arc, and his shooting 9-for-12 from the field, it should also be noted that the rest of the Tide players were ONLY 14-40 from the field and 5-of-14 from behind the Arc in their shooting....Hmmm, more reason to believe that if you shut down Shelton, the Tide fall...I am sure Coach Donovan saw these Statistics, if I did...

Turnovers, will also be the Key to this one...and I have to again give the advantage to the Gators, as their defense has played and consistantly forced opponents to hand it over to them...Whereas, the Tide has been committing more turnovers in several of their recent games against top conf opponents and that wont help them any against this opportunistic Gator defense one bit today....Currently, the Gators are ranked 5th in the conf in Turnover Margin...while Alabama is ranked 11th (2nd to last) in this category...Alabama also ranks last in Steals in the conf per game...Not good stats on the year for the Crimson Tide...and even worst seeing how there last game of the season vs Miss St, they committed 19 turnover while only forcing 9 Bulldog turnovers, not to mention that they were also outrebounded 42-39, and allowed Miss St to take 33 more shot attempts from the field, and 17 more shots from 3 pt land...I still dont know how the Bulldogs blew this one, but if they give the Gators this kind of opportunities they will be blowout again...as the Gators are the best shooting team in the Conf, something the Bulldogs aren't..

Sidenote: In the Gator's 5 game winning streak, their defense came up big holding opponents to average just 56 pts in this span...and they also have only averaged 13.8 turnovers combined during this span....Solid and important Stat!

*SOME SITUATIONAL EDGES FAVORING FLORIDA TODAY:

-Gators enter this one with a clear conscience, due to their finally beating Kentucky, which should help psychologically for the Gators....This big win seems to have put a huge step in the Gator's players, especially their veteran players who have never beaten the Wildcats since they arrived at Gainsville....And inaddition, their last game over the Bulldogs, was another big psychological plus for the Gators as they was able to get their Revenge from an earlier DD loss to them...In fact, if you watched the 1st half of the Florida/Miss St game, you see how the Gators are playing very loose, yet, confident as their shooting consecutive deep 3's several times, players dishing out behind the back passes, and reverse slam dunks, seems to display....And, this is a good thing and a good sign of a team in the zone, who is letting the game come to them...Perfect!

-Gators come in as one of the Hottest teams out their and playing with a hell of a lot of confidence right now...Bama is the top seed and ranked as well, and they are the hunted in this one, which is not the best spots to be in....Florida has a deep productive bench, one of their trademarks, but Alabama has had a lack of depth issues throughout the season, and if their starters are off their game or get into early foul trouble...it could spell trouble for them...Gators, have never won this SEC Tournament and this is the next Big Goal on the list according to Coach Donovan....I feel the Gators advantage in bench depth will help them move on over Alabama today..

-Gators comes in with the Hotter shooting Frontcourt star...in Roberson who is on Fire...He is 1st in scoring in the SEC, 1st in FT% with his 89%, 1st in 3 pt FG's made per game, and 3rd in FG%....Shelton is close behind....but Roberson in the past two games and is totally in a bigger Zone as he scored a combined 43 pts, with 21 pts vs #3 Kentucky and 19 pts in the win over the Bulldogs yesterday.....Alabama's Shelton, the last two games has scored a combined 35pts (Miss St and Miss)...but it is his previous 3 games to these two where he had a slump going 10-of-31 from the field...which should still be a cause for concern for Alabama against this tough Florida Defense, who will be gunning for him today...

*SOME STAT AND INFO, FAVORING THE GATORS:

-Florida has won 8 of their last 9 games vs Alabama....and the last being a 31 pt blowout, was the worse loss for the Crimson Tide this season...It also came one point short of tying the worst ever loss to the Gators in their series..

-Florida ranks 5th in conf in TO Margin...Bama ranks 11th.

-Florida ranks 3rd in the conf in Assist....Bama ranks 8th,.

-Florida ranks 2nd in Block Shots......Bama ranks 4th.

-Florida ranks 2nd in off rebounds...and 1st in defensive rebounding in the conf..

                -Florida ranks 5th in 3 pt FG% defense...Bama ranks 9th

-Florida ranks 1st in Scoring Offense and 1st in FG% Shooting in the SEC.....Bama ranks 2nd.

-Florida ranks 3rd in Scoring Defense in the SEC....Bama ranks 6th.

-Florida is 2-0 ATS and 3-0 SU on neutral courts this year.

-Bama is 1-2 ATS on a neutral court this year.

-Bama is 3-5 ATS and SU as a Dog

-Bama is 12-20 SU their last 32 games an Underdog.

-Bama is 1-5 ATS their last 6 games when playing with one or less days of rest.

In conclusion, the Gators enter this one as the Hottest team in the SEC in my opinion, as they now have won their last 5 games and 7 of their last 8 games..only losing at LSU by 4pts on Feb 19, during this span.....But, seeing as how the Tigers as well are on a major role and peeking earlier then the Gators were, that loss doesnt look to bad to me...After that loss though to LSU, the Gators have been playing very solid balanced ball offensively in their scoring and assist, both from the paint and perimeter...and they also have stepped it up a notch all year defensively, and most recently down the stretch heading into this conf tourney, where some were saying that this team is soft...Well, their stats in rebounding, steals, blocks, defensive FG%, etc, stat differently...and these Gators winning may physical games this year, with their toughnest and pounding people on the boards have gotten them in the position they are in to move on to the Conf Championship game following a win over this Alabama team who depends to much on Shelton's deep shooting....Florida's defense shut him down once this year, and I cant see any reason as to why they cant do it again....The Tide will have to face a Gator team that is peeking at the right moment and that spells trouble for them today....With this said, take Florida E, as a "BIG GAME PLAY"--CONF TOURNEY GAME OF THE MONTH selection.....GL AND LETS GO GET EM!...ALOHA CC.

*please disregard any grammatical errors and mistakes, etc..as I had no time to edit this book.....Thanks.

Well Gang...my FINAL FOUR-"BGP"-DOG OF THE DANCE selection on Louisville +3 went down today....The X factor, in Louisville's Garcia didnt show up, or should I say was held to only 4 total points on the day by Ill's solid defense.....Nonetheless, it is always a huge disappointment when one of the best players in the land doesnt play to his potential, leaving us to again wonder, what could of happened if he did....But, those are the Intangibles which we dont control and which is part of this game, so we have to take the good with the bad...

Anyways, this rare lost now brings my 2nd Highest Rated "BGP's"-Record on the year to 5W-2L= 71.4% in CBB...And, it also brings my Combined Record with these plays to 10W-4L= 71.4% (for CFB and CBB combined this year)...Still way ahead of the Man with these Bad Boys on the year.

Furthermore, even with this lost today...Saturday still ended with a Very Solid Winning Day for me and All my clients...as the rest of my plays I released, on the day, SWEPT THE BOARD, going a Prefect 4-0.....Now that was a Sweet Way to make up the lost and also to end the day....

(btw) *This is the rest of my Super Saturday's Card I released:

                  *TOP RATED PLAY ON:

                  UNC/Mich St UNDER 159 (Winner)

                  UNC -6 (2nd HF) (Winner)

                  =============================
                  ~Super Saturday's Overall Record: 4W-1L= 80%

                  --------------------------------------------------------------

*FYI:....My TOP PLAYS in the WOMEN'S FINAL FOUR goes Sunday.

Tomorrow Gang...I will be releasing Two Top Rated Sides Plays and a solid Totals Play in the Women's Final Four Games ....I am currently 3-0 with my selections released in the Women's Tournament so far, highlighted by my Big Dog Selection I released on the Lady Spartans +5 ov Stanford...A solid Outright Winner.

For anyone interested in getting the Rest of My Best Plays I plan to release in tomorrows Women's Final Four Games, you can get my entire Card released for ONLY $30.....Chance for everyone to invest a little but make alot.

Sunday, I will continue this solid run I am on in the Womens Tourney....Jump on board and lets take this Record to 6-0 with my selections in the Womens Hoops....The Mens Final Four may be over, but that doesnt mean there isnt any more solid profit left to be made in the Tournament....I find the Womens Tournament matchups to be a lot easier to cap out and find those solid mismatches...then the Men's provide....And, tomorrows games I love alot.... LETS ROCK-EM GANG .....Aloha CC.

*TOP RATED PLAY OF THE DAY ON:

Mich St (women) +6 (buy .5pt)

-I love this Mich St team from their Coach of the Year in McCallie, on down to their two Big She Uglys in the low post....This Spartan team possesses a very balanced attack and they also play with a deep bench as well....Tenn also has a solid coach in Summit and a solid post player in Ely, but she will need to have one of her best games because she will be going up against the Spartan's two board bangers in F Shimek, who scored 24 pts and grabbed 10 rebs (4 off rebs) against Stanford....and also 6-4 Sr C Roehrig, who scored 10 pts, grabbed 8 rebs (4 off rebs), and 6 assist, in the big win over the Lady Cards...Solid!...

These two will be the difference in my opinion, as they can dominate the post and which will then open up the perimeter for the Spartan's long range bombers in Sr G Haynie, who scored 20 pts, off of her 4 for 4 shooting from behind the Arc against Stanford....and also Bowen, is who is coming off a 4 pt game vs the Cards, but who is also one of their best perimeter threats and 2nd leading scorer as well...I expect her to bounce back today.

The Spartans scored in double figures, which marked the fourth time in as many games of this tournament that four Michigan State players reached double digits.....I think that their Big Upset over regular season #1 Stanford says alot, especially with their 2nd leading scorer in Bowen only going 1 for 8 from the field...This Spartan team is focused and they are not intimidated at all..and that is a plus for them going up against one of the best ever Womens BB programs and their hall of fame coach...But, I like the fact that little Sister McCallie, has Big Brother and BB Guru Izzo watching over her..

                      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                      FYI:

-Ok Gang...Damn LSU fell apart again down the stretch, just like last year...So far, plays today are 2-2, with my Sweep in the NBA with Philly and Minny winning SU as road Dogs...Solid!....

However, the Lady Spartans are my Best Dog and Best Play of the Day...So with that said, LETS GO SPARTANS!

The Women's Tourney has also been sweet for me as I have a Record of 5W-2L= 71.4%, going into the NCG....There is nothing better than playing with the Mans $$$....Last season, I Swept both NCG's with UCONN (mens and womens)...And, this season, I plan to do it once more..

                            "BGP"- FYI & UPDATE:

                            MEN'S NAT'L CHAMPIONSHIP--"BIG GAME PLAY" --w/ UNC WINS EZ!

Hell Yeah!...Just like I capped it, North Carolina's dominant paint production and solid guard play overall would be to much of a balance in the scoring department for this talented but heavily depended "front-court" led team of Illinois to match down the stretch....Thus, just like in last years National Championship Game between Uconn and GT, it was this overall balance in the paint and perimeter which gave me and all my clients, yet another "BIG GAME PLAY"--WINNER to end the Men's CBB season.....Today's "BGP"--WINNER w/ the Tar Heels was just as EZ and just as SWEET!

                            ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                            FYI:.... WOMEN'S NAT'L CHAMPIONSHIP-"BIG GAME PLAY"....goes Tomorrow.

Hold on Gang...CBB, for me, is not over just yet....I still have 1 Final--"BIG GAME PLAY"- in CBB left to go...in the Women's National Championship Game going off tomorrow on Super Tuesday....My plays in the Women's Tourney this year has produced a Solid Record of 5W-2L-1P= 71.4%....I hope you all took advantage of that complimentary TOP RATED PLAY OF THE DAY--Winner with the Lady Spartans, I gave out on Sunday....That Winner was my 2nd Strongest Play released in the Women's Tourney ....However, this "BGP" in the NCG will be my Best Play I will release in the Women's Tournament.

Women's CBB is a lot easier to cap out in Tourney time, then the Men's is imo, as long as you know how to find those hidden intangibles and keys to the game...In this matchup between a Very Hot Baylor team vs an Underrated Mich St team, I am confident that I found those hidden intangibles and Keys which qualified one of those teams into my "BIG GAME PLAY" selection category....Last season, I swept both NCG's (mens and womens) with UCONN...and this year, I will do the same again..

Note: My "BGP's" overall are still hitting Over 70%, in All Major Sports combined since 2003...and are still proving to be Simply Second to None!

Dont miss out as I go for the FINAL "BGP" SWEEP in CBB with my WOMEN'S NAT'L CHAMPIONSHIP--"BIG GAME PLAY" ...ready to Rock-N-Roll Big Time on Tuesday.....Bank on it Baby, I am!

*Contact me early for a Special Price Rate on this Final "BGP"-in CBB.

The Bases are coming up shortly so lets continue to build up our bankrolls as we move on to MLB action....Till then, GL and LETS GO GET EM!.....ALOHA CC.

                              "BIG GAME PLAY"--WOMEN'S NAT'L CHAMPIONSHIP

                              Michigan St +3 (buy .5pt)

-Balanced attack, strong zone defense, solid backcourt, and the Heart of a Lion...is how this Lady Spartan team was able to beat the #1, #2, and two #3 ranked teams in the land..something no other team can say they did this year....The have also beaten last seasons Nat'l Champs in Uconn and have gone 13-1 this year combined against ranked opponents....The Lady Spartans just find ways to win and tonight they will do it again....Coach McCallie was voted the Coach of the Year this year..and deservingly so...And dont forget who is in her corner helping her all the way to the Title...Thats right the Mens BB Guru, Coach Izzo...Tough combo to beat, IMO..

-Lets get the Sweep Gang....GL and Aloha CC.
