Houston +11 (2 Units)
Houston clinched a berth in the CUSA tournament with their win over TCU on Saturday and now they are at 6-8 in the conference. While they no longer have to worry about getting shut out of the tournament, they now will be concentrating on their seeding. They can finish with an 8-8 record, which can get them one of the better seeds as 8 of the 12 teams potentially could finish with an 8-8 record, albeit not all at once. The Cougars were pretty much written off after they started the season 2-10 but have gone 6-7 since, much better than most forecasted. This will be the final home game for senior Louis Truscott, the Cougars leading scorer with 15.5 ppg so emotions will be high. Memphis has come on strong recently, winning their last 9 games. They have already clinched the CUSA National division and are coming off a big win against rival Cincinnati. They have clinched the 2nd seed in the tournament thus giving them a first round bye so the remaining two games don't have much meaning for the Tigers. Two wins against Houston and UAB won't improve their NCAA Tournament seeding, only a strong finish in the tournament can do that. Obviously losing hurts, but look for the Tigers to play this one just hard enough to get the win. While Houston might not pull off the huge upset, they will be the team playing with more intensity on the court Thursday.
