Seattle E (3 Units)
Minnesota comes in as the hottest home teams in the league but now begin a tough 5 game road trip that starts against the Sonics, who are pretty hot themselves. Seattle is 5-1 since their big trade with the Bucks and has gotten themselves within the playoff hunt in the Western Conference. They trail 8th place Phoenix by 3.5 games and they need to pass two other teams as well but they are clearly playing with some momentum right now. Minnesota, who is 27-5 at home, is only 13-16 on the road. Seattle has won their last 5 home games by an average of 16 ppg, but that is skewed some with their 30 point win over Milwaukee. By taking that game out they still are winning by 12.5 ppg their last 4. The defense has been the key for the Sonics at home, as they are allowing just 87 ppg on 42% shooting and 32% shooting from behind the arc. Minnesota has games on deck at Sacramento and at the Los Angeles Lakers so a slight look ahead is possible as well. Right now, the Twolves are a big public favorite with their home winning streak all over the TV and they overvalued in this spot. The Sonics are playing excellent basketball as well and will get the home win tonight.
