Utah Jazz (13-24) at Sacramento Kings (22-11)

    Recommended Play: Sacramento -8.5

Preview courtesy of The Sports Network:

The Sacramento Kings play the middle contest of a three- game homestand, as they host Carlos Boozer and the Utah Jazz tonight at ARCO Arena.

This is the second meeting of the season between the teams. On December 31st, Sacramento knocked off the Jazz, 109-102, at the Delta Center. The teams will play one more time this season, as the Jazz are scheduled to host the Kings on April 18th.

Overall, The Kings have won six of their last seven contests with the Jazz, who have lost five of seven and six of their last 10 at Sacramento.

On Tuesday, All-Star Peja Stojakovic led six players in double figures with 27 points, as the Kings downed the Denver Nuggets, 109-100, at ARCO Arena. Mike Bibby scored 18 points and Kevin Martin netted 17 for the Kings, who have won five of their last seven games overall.

Maurice Evans totaled 14 points for the Kings, while Darius Songaila and Brad Miller each netted 12 Tuesday's victory. Sacramento has captured 12 of the last 14 meetings with the Nuggets, who have dropped 17 straight contests at ARCO. The last Denver victory at Sacramento was on January 7, 1997.

Stojakovic is averaging 32 points and 4.5 rebounds in his last two contests.

He has scored in double-digits in all 33 of Sacramento's games this season.

The Kings, who finish their short homestand on Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers, are 13-4 as the host this season. Sacramento has won two in a row and four of its last six at ARCO Arena.

The Jazz are starting to get their act together as of late. On Wednesday,Mehmet Okur racked up 21 points and a season-best 17 rebounds to lead a spectacular Utah bench effort as the Jazz ended Phoenix' seven-game win streak with a 115-108 victory over the Suns at the Delta Center.

Fellow reserve Raja Bell contributed 19 points on 9-of-11 shooting in Wednesday's win, as the Jazz's reserves outscored the Suns' subs by a whopping 67-6 margin. Matt Harpring paced the starters with 18 points, while Keith McLeod tied a career- high with 11 assists for Utah, which has won two straight following a nine-game slide. Boozer finished with just eight points and six boards in the victory.

The Jazz are just 5-15 as the visitor this season. Utah has lost six straight on the road, as its last victory away from home came on December 20th against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center.

    Good luck
    Mike Thomas
