FootyMAD's Queens Park Rangers match preview

Story by Footymad 13 January 2005

This week FootyMad's match preview focuses on the game between Queens Park Rangers and Stoke City at 19:45 on Friday 14th January 2005 in the Championship.

History of the Queens Park Rangers v Stoke City fixture

Stoke City pack their bags to visit Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Friday evening, needing to turn around their fortunes at the ground. The Potters will be hoping to improve upon a record which has seen them taste defeat on 7 occassions, and draw 3, from the 11 games played.

The previous match played between the two at Loftus Road was more than three years back, in August 2001, the Rangers carving out a narrow 1 - 0 victory in a League Division Two match.

several reputable local Queens backers have posted on a website that the team is not showing up for todays match at Loftus Road..........they state that the Queens coach has stated that he is not going to play some players in protest due to a heated argument between the team owner and their team sponsorship. This has actually been going on for sometime.......Apparently, the team owner had confronted the Queens coach and advised him to sit players until their sponsor settles this apparent dispute.........
