Some "EZ" Analysis
Orl @ NY 2-28-03
-I see the total on this tilt currently at
204 and tend to like the over tonight!
-The Knicks basically laid an egg on Wed.
night at NJ. A mere 76 points was all
Chaney's troops could manage as the Nets
scored 105!
-The Knicks' had Allen Houston rolling on the
road trip with that outstanding game at the LAL.
-Since that time he has cooled off as he and
Spree had a horrible time getting it together
netting a combined 19 points between them in
NJ!
-What I think will revive the "sleeping"
Knicks tonight is the Patrick Ewing jersey
retirement at half time. The fans should
be pumped and emotions high for BOTH the
Magic and Knick players as Ewing's memories
drift fondly through the minds of both
teams.
-Wonder who Ewing is "rooting" for tonight?
-Anyway the combined numbers fall well short
of tonight's 204 line:
*Seasonal ppg scored......182
*Home/Away ppg scored.....189'
*Last 5 ppg scored........197'
*Seasonal ppg allowed.....195
*Home/Away ppg allowed....194
Last 5 ppg allowed........200
-However....Rivers' team has come to life
with the Gooden and Giricek. The Magic
have scored 110, 113 and 98 against Chi,
NJ and Dal respectively.
-NY has allowed 102.6 ppg in their last 5
and will need to score tonight to stay in
this game with Orl.
-Again....a poor game last time out and the
Ewing emotions tonight have me believing we
get some points out of the Knicks tonight.
-McGrady has been unstoppable. He can have
defenders inside his jersey and still hit
nothing but twine. His jump shots are as
smooth as I have seen.....even better than
Kobe's.
-The way both teams play defense.....it will
be a "fire and fall back" affair at Madison
Square tonight.
