Charlotte Bobcats at Milwaukee Bucks 8:05 PM ET
Milwaukee Bucks –11.5 –110 (2 Units)
Milwaukee looks to make it two in a row at home against the expansion Bobcats. The Bucks face two must-win games at the Bradley Center this week, against Charlotte tonight and New Orleans on Saturday. Must-win games this early in the season? It would sure appear that way, since seven of their next 11 games will be on the road with the home games against Miami, Detroit, the Lakers and San Antonio. The Bucks expect personal and team improvement over last season, when Milwaukee dropped its first-round playoff series to Detroit in five games. Balance is a big factor and it showed in their home opener against Cleveland. Five players finished in double figures led by Michael Redd’s 28 points. Keith Van Horn contributed 22 points, while Desmond Mason had 11. Joe Smith and Maurice Williams each had 10. Facing a rare week in which the Bucks will play only two games, head coach Terry Porter rewarded his players for the victory Saturday by giving them Sunday off. Keeping players fresh this early is essential since no one is at peak conditioning form yet. Charlotte goes out on the road for the first time this season, and for these young players, life away from home won’t be easy. Bobcats point guard Brevin Knight said Tuesday he is definitely out of Wednesday's game. Knight's absence will move shooting guard Eddie House into the starting lineup and Jason Hart to the point. The Bobcats might also be without power forward Melvin Ely.
