Another 3-2 day, but I lost my Totals Play of the Month as the Jets and Niners failed to go over the total of 43, so even with the 3-2 day, I'm not happy. My winners were San Diego +5.5 over Atlanta, Minnesota -4 over New Orleans and Pittsburgh +3 over Dallas. My other loss was San Diego/ Atlanta OVER 43.

Houston/ St Louis OVER 10.5: Only one of the first 4 games in this series has scored in single digits and that one was with Clemens on the mound. Both of tonight's pitchers come into this game with a combined 4-1 record but they have a combined 13.00 ERA. Williams has really struggled in his last 3 trips to Houston as he has a 13.50 ERA in his last 3 starts there. A closer look also reveals that in his last 7 starts vs the Astros the teams have scored 11 or more runs in all of those games, with the average combined score being 14.71 rpg. Brandon Backe has face the Cards 3 times this year without getting past the 5th inning in any of those starts and if that trend continues then the the ball will be in the hands of a tired bullpen that has an ERA of 5.73 in their last 10 games.
