Today we like Wisconsin +4 against Ohio St. Neither of these offenses are playing well, but we see the Badger defense being able to control this game. The Badgers have yet to give up more than single digits in any game this season and only allowed Central Florida to score twice (two field goals). Wiscy is also 3-2 ATS this season, which is better than the Buckeyes 2-3 ATS and the Badgers are 2-0 ATS against Ohio St in the past three seasons. The Badgers were 4-2 ATS on the road last season and they are 10-4 ATS in poast three seasons as an underdog. Ohio St has yet to play a good game, though they are still ranked at #16. They beat Marshall by three, NC St by eight, and then lost to Northwestern last week. Wiscy handled them last year 17-10 and we see them handling them again, we are looking for the outright win here.
We also like Houston (Backe -$110) against Atlanta (Thomson). Backe only started nine games this season, but Houston sees fit to start him in a pivotal Game 3. They were 7-2 over his starts and he ended the season at 2-0 with a 3.65 Era over his last three. Thomson was 1-1 versus the Astros this season and despite ending the season at 2-0 as well, we will back the home team who should already be up 2-0 in the series.
