Hello Everyone!
PHL-4.5 <<3*>>
Technically speaking it favors the Eagles:
1) PHL 29-11 ATS away w/ Coach Reid
2) PHL 18-4 SUATS on road vs. >.300 opponents
3) DET 0-5 SU and ATS after opening season 2-0 SUATS
4) Coach Mariucci 1-13 ATS as a dog off a win and cover
5) DET is 4-40 ATS in it's last 44 non-division home losses
Fundamentally:
1) DET steps up in class versus PHL offense in comparison to CHI and HOU. Success defensively will be difficult versus PHL's (5.3 yds/rush). CHI (4.3) and HOU (3.6)
2) DET will have more difficulty moving the ball vs Eagle defense as opposed to HOU. PHL (17 pts/game) has a staunch front 7 while HOU last week as a weaker unit who makes errors in coverage. (28 pts/game)
3) DET has been out gained by over 200 yards despite their 2-0 record. Teams who get out gained but still find a way to win rely on turnovers...Coach Reid teams create more turnovers than they commit. This year has a 3-1 ratio of turnovers received to lost.
The fact that PHI had a short week of preparation and that DET has been a stellar home dog in general keeps this play at 3 *....
