ANOTHER winning day for PRO INFO SPORTS NBA clients as we won our lone Money Play with Detroit covering against Orlando. We also won with Boston over Portland as an "opinion". Yesterday's FREE TOP-RATED (7 STAR SELECTION) play follows along with tonight's complimentary pick.
7 STAR SELECTION (5% of Bankroll)
DETROIT -7 over Orlando
The Detroit Pistons try to match their longest winning streak of the season when they host the Orlando Magic at The Palace of Auburn Hills tonight. Detroit has won five straight games after defeating Chicago on the road, 89-79, on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Orlando entered the All-Star break with three straight losses, but earned a 92-83 home triumph over New Jersey, also on Tuesday.
This will be the final of three meetings this season. The teams split the first two, both played in Orlando. In Detroit, the Pistons have dominated the Magic, going 5-1 SU/ATS in their last half-dozen meetings. We expect that trend to continue here, as the Magic are likely to run into troubles here. As a road underdog in the first game of a road swing at least 3 games long, Orlando is 2-9 ATS. As an underdog off a SU win as a dog, they are 0-6 ATS, losing to the spread by 8 points a game on average. On the road off a win in which they trailed after 3 quarters they are a poor 1-8 ATS, while Detroit is 6-2 ATS hosting such opponents.
The SU winner in this series is an incredible 27-0-1 ATS in the previous 28 meetings, and we certainly like Detroit's chances here on their home floor. They also will enjoy a large edge in the paint as the Magic are now without Grant Hill and Shawn Kemp. Ben Wallace and company should dominate the boards, while the stiff Detroit "D" focuses on Tracy McGrady. T-Mac may get his usual number of points, but will get little help from his teammates here, as we look for the Pistons to roll to a double-digit win.
PROJECTED FINAL SCORE: DETROIT 98 ORLANDO 84
ACTUAL FINAL SCORE: DETROIT 98 ORLLANDO 88!
