Special Insiders Offer - Save $100 on the Remainder of the NCAA Football Season!

Ron has jumped out to a nice start to the 2004 NCAA Football Season (12-5, +13.14 Units) filling his Clients pockets up with cash. The season is still young, but you can cash in on the action too!

Ron's bread and butter is college sports. In sports betting, this is where the most value is, not the NFL and other professional sports.

Without fail, each fall new cappers sprout up all the internet, on the radio and in magazines claiming that they have the Lock of the Century or that they hit 80% of their plays last season and frankly I'm sick of it! With the growth of the internet, anyone can put up a website and call themselves handicappers and advertise a great record. But who's watching them?

If you're looking for sound advice with your sports investments, make sure you choose to do business with a sports service that is monitored and that you are actually dealing with professionals. Feel free to track my success this season!

Free Picks - Thursday Night Opinions

Tonight we have two games on the slate with Akron facing their heated rival Kent in the Mid American Conference and Miami of Florida traveling to face the Houston Cougars in Reliant Stadium. Both games really are a coin-flip to us, so when that is the case and neither team appears to have an advantage over the other against-the-spread, we like to sit out and enjoy the action.

Here are some quick notes on each game.

Akron @ Kent, 7:00 PM EST

Akron might stink and quarterback Charlie Frye hasn't had a chance to be consistent having to face Virginia and Penn State, but this should still be one exciting game. On the other side, Kent State's Joshua Cribbs is back to being Joshua Cribbs throwing for 311 yards and running for 34 against Rutgers. Each team's defense is average at best, so look for the offenses to put on a show. Kent State has turned the ball over ten times so far in only three games and the Golden Flash running game isn't doing much. However, the only thing worse than Akron's offense is the defense. The Zips are only averaging 294 yards and 11 points per game, but the defense is giving up 490 yards and 43 points per outing. Kent State moved the ball on Liberty and Rutgers and should roll over the Zips without much of a problem. We expect both quarterbacks to have big games. Who wins may boil down to who has the ball last in what is shaping up to be a shootout. With a gun to our head, we'd take the points, but the lack of offensive production from the Zips has scared us away.

Miami @ Houston, 7:30 PM EST

Miami might be 2-0 and be among the college football elite, but no one's thinking Orange Bowl quite yet. The defense and special teams are there, but the offense isn't scaring anyone. Tonight, Miami's offense should have plenty of opportunities to work the offensive kinks out in this pseudo scrimmage. Last week, Army steamrolled the Cougars for 234 yards on the ground. Miami has loads more talent and should be able to control the game by running the ball seemingly at will. However, with Miami's offense not being finely-tuned, Houston may do just enough to hang around in this game and cover the spread. After doing next to nothing against Florida State until crunch-time, Miami went for 351 yards and 34 points (there were two punt returns for scores) against Louisiana Tech. One item to note, the Canes took the foot off the gas after getting up 34-0 in the first half, and may do the same against the Cougars tonight. Houston's only hope to keep this close is if QB Kevin Kolb regains his freshman year form and RB Anthony Evans can be the same back who cranked out a 282-yard, two touchdown performance last week. We fully expect Miami, on national TV, to shut down the Cougar offense while their offense sputters its way to a five-touchdown day. In our minds there are only two scenarios, either Miami blows out Houston and never lets Houston back in the game cruising to a 40+ victory or Miami calls off the big dawgs and Houston gets a fourth quarter score and cover. Tough call in our opinion.
