This final week of pre-season will dot the I's and cross the T's regarding my final analysis of NFL Futures. I expect the NFL Preview Issue to go out on Tuesday, followed by Issue #1 of the Spread Report on Thursday.
Jaguars @ PATRIOTS
This line is awefullly low. With Belichick's record for winning in pre-season and coming home off two losses, well, I expect a solid performance. Jax averaging 9 ppg scoring. Not sure how they'll get more than 2 FG's, if that, playing in NE. Jags D has been very impressive, but this game belongs to the Pats and they should win and cover easy...
*PATRIOTS -3.5 over Jaguars (thu)
Cardinals @ BRONCOS
In 9 years under Shanahan, the Broncos have had nine consecutive Winning Seasons in pre-season. With Denver coming home at 2-2, we'll look for that trend to continue. The only question is whether they will cover as a 7-pt fave. Consider this...
In the past 5 Seasons since their back-to-back SB Wins and the retirement of John Elway, the Broncos under Mike Shanahan have dominated Week Four of Pre-Season as they tune up for Regular Season without the assurances that John Elway offered. During that time span they have blown out their opponents 156-36 for an average score of 31-7 in rout to a 5-0 record SU and ATS.
To add to that, they are playing arguably the worst team in the NFL. As though the Cards are not bad enough, their injuries continue to mount. I don't think even Dennis Green can hold this boat afloat. The Cards blew their wad last week in a sqeaker and will come crashing back down to their own little world this week as they are outgunned in this one...
*BRONCOS -7 over Cardinals
Falcons @ REDSKINS
Atlanta got smashed on the road at Baltimore 24-0 in their opener and then came home for two strong wins including a thorough dismantling of the Bungles last week. They take to the road again this week against the 2-2 Redskins who are at home of a loss and looking to close out at 3-2. Gibbs is 9-1 SU and ATS lifetime in game four as he prepares his troops for the real deal...
*REDSKINS -3.5 over Falcons
Florida State Seminoles @ MIAMI of FLORIDA HURRICANES
FSU is stacked with talent and Chris Rix is in his Senior Season. I look for FSU to make a run for the Title and, in fact, they are my Choice to win it. Priority number one will be to get by the Hurricanes in their opener. Rix has had no problems moving the ball, but they have managed to come up short against in-state rival Miami. Not this time. FSU is going to hand Miami a not-so-nice welcome to the ACC...
*Florida State +2 over MIAMI FLA
If you're interested in receiving my Weekly College and Pro Football Sheet, feel free to contact me personally or swing by the site. Effective Monday, September 6th, I will be moving into a different direction in the Sports Service biz, including the only Net Winner program on the Planet (that I know of). However, the Sheet is still available through Sunday, September 5th, for 7 bucks per Issue (22 Issues for $154.00).
If or when I have established a sizeable enough bankroll to play the games as a supportive income, my intentions are to quit the service industry and return to the forums all-free, which is my preference. Until then, I gotta' support the fam! But I'll do what I can to offer insights at the forum and contribute to the forum in a manner that does not betray clientle. Thanks folks, and may it be a profitable season! Let's roll...
