Tonight we like Florida (Willis -$110) against New York (Leiter). We will come right back against the Mets using the suddenly hot Marlins and Dontrelle Willis. Willis is 5-0 with a 1.74 Era lifetime against the Mets in 6 starts, including 2-0 this season. Florida has also won three straight games and seven of their last ten to try and put their hat in the ring for a Wild Card run. The Mets have dropped two straight and eight of their last ten. Leiter is a decent 12-6 lifetime against the Fish, but carries a high 4.37 Era in 19 starts and the Mets bats are very silent lately, so they will be hard pressed to provide much support.
We also like Detroit (Robertson -$140) against Kansas City (Wood). The Tigers have dropped four straight to fall to 4-6 over their last ten games, but the Royals should be the cure to their ills. Robertson has definitely enjoyed them this season at 2-0 in three starts against Kansas City He is also 11-7 on the season and coming off of an eight inning win in his last start where he gave up one run. Mike Wood is 2-6 over eleven starts with a high 5.57 Era and the Royals are 2-8 over their last ten games overall, also losing four straight.
