Mariners -40 Madritsch vs Kazmir
It's southpaw Bobby Madritsch, 3-0 overall 2.32 in his seven starts on the hill for the M's, in this opener of an 8-game homestand at Safeco Field. Madritsch faced the Devil Rays in his first career start back on Aug.5, when he allowed 1 run, 5 hits, striking out 6 over eight innings.....a 4-2 Seattle win, that saw him get a no decision.
Tampa's Scott Kazmir is the hard-throwing 20-year-old lefty, acquired from the Mets in the July 20 four-player deal, that sent Victor Zambrano to New York. All-Star outfielder Carl Crawford and third baseman Aubrey Huff (22HR, 80 RBI) are both listed as questionable for tonight's game.....the final meeting of the season between these two clubs.
Thanks, to those of you who took the time to e-mail me, after the 3-0 Saturday night PreSeason sweep with: New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears.
As always, your comments, criticism, and inquires are welcomed.
Regards,
John
