Cincinnati -3 (2 Units)
A big non-conference game for the Bearcats coming off a tough loss at Louisville that extended their losing streak to 3 games after winning 8 consecutive prior to that. It's been well publicized about Coach Huggins taking away locker room privileges from his team stating "That's a locker room for champions, for guys who play hard," Huggins said. "They don't deserve the same treatment as the guys who do (play hard)." Although the motivational tactic didn't work against Louisville, they head back home and now must suit up against the 12th ranked team in the country. All of this should take away any letdown factor that would normally come into play after the Louisville game. Both of these teams play solid defensive basketball as they are allowing 59 ppg on the season. That number goes down for Cincinnati at home as they allow 58 ppg but the number drastically increases for the Cowboys who allow 68 ppg on the road. The Cowboys are a very good 6-1 on the road this season but two of those games came on a neutral floor in Alaska back in November so they don't have a whole lot of experience in a truly hostile environment. The Bearcats are 10-2 at home but only 3-7 ATS but most of those ATS losses were as double digit favorites. Look for Cincinnati to bounce back in this very favorable situation as a favorite laying points to a ranked team at home.
