Toronto upset my play on Oakland last night, looking for a strong comeback today and I've found the play that will do it.

It seems only yesterday that the whole baseball world was calling Seattle the next championship team, things have certainly changed since a few years back. The Mariners have lost some of their most talented players to greener pastures and it shows, the team now just 35-56 on the season and they are just 22-24 at home. Joel Pineiro will get the start this day, he's just 5-10 on the season with an ever rising 4.47era, this guy is shaky at best. Pineiro has given up 68 runs, 18 of them homers, in 129 innings of work this season. The team itself does not support his work well, in fact the last two home games with Pineiro starting had Seattle scoring a grand total of just 6 runs combined. The team has scored a combined total of just 5 runs over his last three starts, no support and a shaky arm = losing situation.
Boston is having an alright season, they are 50-41 overall and not too bad on the road either where the team is 20-26 to this point. Derek Lowe will get the start here, he's now 7-9 on the season with a 5.67era that is actually much better looking then it reads. The truth of the matter is that the RedSox are just 1-4 behind the last 5 starts from Lowe, he is a MUCH better hurler then what we've been watching lately and I see this Tuesday situation as the perfect time for Lowe and the Sox to wake up. Throw in a revenge factor after getting clobbered Monday night and we have the perfect situation for the RedSox to roll.
