Since being recalled in June, Josh Towers is (2-1) with a 3.38 ERA in 4 starts & he has pitched well on the road during that stretch allowing only 2 runs in 14 innings. Yes, the Blue Jays offense is sorely missing Vernon Wells & Carlos Delgado, but they’ve still managed to find ways to win going (5-5) over their last 10 & winning 3 of their last 5 on the road.
While everyone knows how hot the Devil Rays have been, so do the odds makers & tonight with Brazelton coming off a 1 hit performance, you are being asked to pay a heavy price – too heavy in our opinion. Brazelton has looked very good at times, but he has also been pounded.
There is a lot of value for the taking with the Blue Jays & Towers on Wednesday night.
