Good day everyone, here is your Saturday Detailed Comp MLB Side Play, enjoy.

    Saturday Comp MLB Side Play

    Arizona @ Detroit

With a lack of run support (their by far BIGGEST problem this season) and a shaky pitching rotation "at best", the D-backs are just 27-46 on the year and they are in a very bad situation here, now just 14-24 on the road thus far. Arizona will send up Casey Fossum to start this one, he's just 1-6 on the season with a very ugly looking 6.08era thus far. Fossum has given up 29 runs over just 40 innings already, he's given up 10 runs off of 15 hits over his last 10 innings. Arizona has only one win over the last seven starts from this guy, they scored a grand total of just 13 runs over that time. With an average of not even 2rpg when Fossum is pitching, the D-backs are doomed in this situation .... again.

Detroit is having a much stronger season then most anticipated, they are now 33-39 overall and 17-18 on their own turf this season. Jeremy Bonderman will get the call to start this one, he's now 5-6 on the season with a 5.73era to this point. Bonderman has allowed 48 runs over 75 innings of work, it's very important to recognize that he's also picked up 64 strikeouts thus far as well. Detroit is 2-1 over the last three starts with Bonderman, that includes their 10-3 win over Philadelphia where Bonderman gave up just one run over seven innings of work. With a much improved lineup and a decent pitcher on this day, the Tigers should have little trouble finding their way past the D-backs here.
    TAKE DETROIT
