Pittsburgh Pirates (Vogelsong) at Houston Astros (Munro) 8:05 PM ET
Houston Astros (Munro) –1.5 +106 (2 Units)
Ryan Vogelsong continues his struggles as he has lost seven consecutive decisions since opening the season with a victory. He has never faced Houston in his career but with the Pirates futility in Houston, his first start against the Astros may not turn out well. He has a 7.62 ERA on the season, a 7.50 ERA on the road and an 8.00 ERA in the month of June so nothing is going his way. He is allowing hitters a .331 away from home this season. Pete Munro, signed on June 3 to fill in for the injured Andy Pettitte, gets his third start of the year. He had an outstanding performance in his last start, pitching 6.1 scoreless innings and earning the victory against Anaheim on Friday night to snap a four-game losing streak by the Astros. Munro retired the first 11 batters he faced, allowing only three balls out of the infield. Vladimir Guerrero's two-out double in the fourth inning was the first Anaheim hit, and the Angels' only extra-base hit of the game. Not only are the Pirates playing awful baseball now, they are in a place they hate. The Pirates have suffered through 18 losses in their last 21 games. They are now losers of 15 of their past 16 games against the Astros at Minute Maid Park.
