St. Louis Cardinals (Williams) at Pittsburgh Pirates (Perez) 7:05 PM ET

Pittsburgh Pirates (Perez) +121 (2 Units)

We all know the story with the Pirates and their inability to win at home but that is bound to turn around soon so we cannot be shying away from them when their value at home keeps growing. Pittsburgh is just 9-16 at home this season with two of those wins coming when Oliver Perez was on the hill. The Pirates scored only 3 runs in his other two starts at home so Perez is not to blame. He has posted a 2.39 ERA and 1.22 WHIP at PNC Park this season and even though control has been an issue his last two starts, he has a solid 3.5/1 K/BB ratio. The Cardinals are hitting only .240 against lefties their last 10 games. Woody Williams has been up and down all season long and most of those downs have been on the road. The Cardinals are 1-3 in his 4 road starts this season and he has posted a 7.42 ERA in his last 3 road starts. Overall, his road ERA is 6.26 to go along with a 1.57 WHIP. He was fortunate to get the win in his last game. Williams backhanded Morgan Ensberg's bases-loaded line drive to start an inning-ending double play. Had the ball gotten past Williams, the Astros would have taken the lead and possibly chased him for his third consecutive road debacle. The Pirates, despite their troubles at home, are still killing righties. They are hitting .296 on the season and .318 their last 10 games. They lead the National League with a .285 average and they are second with a 3.01 bullpen ERA.

Florida Marlins (Burnett) at New York Mets (Seo) 7:10 PM ET

New York Mets (Seo) +102 (2 Units)

The Mets return home after a successful ending to their road trip, taking their series against the Phillies. They will now look to get some back from the Marlins who swept them in Miami over the weekend. They have won 5 of their last 6 at home and they will get a crack at A.J. Burnett, who is making his first start in over 13 months. He doesn’t seem to be in the right frame of mind as he was more concerned about pitching at home rather than on the road. "Just because I'm not throwing 97 to 100 (mph), striking anybody out, Larry and Dave are wondering what's wrong,'' Burnett said, referring to his final rehab start Friday for Class AAA Albuquerque, in which he allowed four runs on seven hits in 3.1 innings. Even if he is effective, he will come nowhere close to 100 pitches. The Marlins bullpen is ranked 7th in baseball with a 3.81 ERA but most of that is attributed to closer Armando Benitez. Take his numbers out, and the middle relief ERA jumps to 4.75 which is near the bottom of the league. Jae Weong Seo has had nothing but back luck this season with only 2 of his starts not being quality. He has allowed 3 or less runs in 8 of his last 10 starts dating back to last season and he is coming off a tough 3-2 no-decision extra inning loss to the Marlins on Saturday. The Mets are 2-2 in his 4 starts against Florida and Seo has posted a solid 1.52 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in those starts.

Baltimore Orioles (Cabrera) at New York Yankees (Vazquez) 1:05 PM ET

Baltimore Orioles (Cabrera) +184 (2 Units)

The Orioles have had some recent troubles against the Yankees but we catch a nice number here for a great offense going against the struggling Javier Vazquez. Vazquez has a 5.35 ERA over his last 5 starts with the Yankees going 2-3 in those games. Granted 4 of those were on the road but the one at Yankee Stadium turned into an 11-1 Anaheim win and the Orioles offense is very comparable to that of the Angels. Although Vazquez's Yankees career began with a bang - seven solid innings in the home opener - he hasn't been all that happy with himself since then. He's 5-4 with a 3.88 ERA and has allowed only 54 hits and 17 walks in 67 1/3 innings but has given up 10 home runs. "It just seems like every time he's made a mistake, especially to one of the bigger hitters, it's resulted not in a base hit but in a home run," pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre said. Vazquez said he has always given up home runs because he is a fastball pitcher whose pitches travel up and down in the zone as opposed to side to side. Baltimore is tied for the American League lead with a .289 road batting average. The Yankees are 12th with a .253 home average. They will face Daniel Cabrera who is more than used to pitching on the road this season. All 4 of his starts have been away from Camden Yards and he is 3-1 in those games. He gives up his share of hits but he gets himself out of trouble as he has allowed 2 or less runs in 3 of his 4 starts.
